A Polícia Civil da Bahia, através da 10ª Coordenadoria Regional de Polícia Civil do Interior (10ª Coorpin), sediada em Vitória da Conquista, e Delegacia Territorial de Poções, deflagrou na manhã da quinta-feira (5), a Operação Piratas do Asfalto, com o objetivo de cumprir Mandados Judiciais nos municípios de Poções, Boa Nova e Manoel Vitorino. A ação visa combater um grupo criminoso envolvido em roubos e furtos de cargas na região Sudoeste do Estado.
As investigações apontam que a organização criminosa é responsável por pelo menos 27 crimes patrimoniais cometidos nos últimos três anos, causando um prejuízo estimado superior a R$ 6 milhões. Além da execução de Mandados de Prisão, estão sendo cumpridos Mandados de Buscas e Apreensões, incluindo veículos ligados aos suspeitos.
Mais de 200 Policiais Civis e Rodoviários Federais participam da operação, que continua em andamento com diligências, oitivas e investigação aprofundada.
Também participam da ação que é coordenada pela 10ª Coordenadoria Regional de Polícia Civil do Interior (10ª Coorpin/Vitória da Conquista) e pela Delegacia Territorial de Poções, Agentes da Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF), do Grupo de Atuação Especial de Combate às Organizações Criminosas e Investigações Criminais de Ministério Público da Estadual (Gaeco) e da Promotoria de Justiça de Poções.
