No mês de Junho, tivemos o Dia do Orgulho Autista, que reforça a importância de refletirmos sobre as necessidades das pessoas dentro do Espectro Autista e a urgência em conscientizar para evitar preconceitos e discriminação.
O Autista pode tudo o que desejar, pode muito e precisa ter essa força e apoio de todos, potencializando suas forças e suas habilidades, para não se deixarem intimidar por um rótulo ou julgamentos.
Segundo a Psicanalista Andrea Ladislau, o Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA) é uma condição que afeta o desenvolvimento neurológico identificado por uma gama de características variáveis. Dentre elas, podemos citar a dificuldade de comunicação e interação social, o atraso no desenvolvimento motor, hipersensibilidade sensorial e comportamentos metódicos, restritivos ou repetitivos.
“Além da hiperatividade ou muita passividade, dificuldade em aceitar mudanças de rotina, sensibilidade a alguns sons e texturas, entre outros. Não é uma doença, portanto não existe cura. É uma condição clínica que exige amor, afeto e cuidado”, explica Andrea que também é Neuropsicóloga.
Condição também aparece em adultos
Mas engana-se quem pensa que só crianças podem ter Autismo. Adultos também podem ser diagnosticados com o espectro. Neste contexto, o ideal é que o diagnóstico venha o mais rápido possível, para que se possa iniciar uma intervenção precoce.
Para Andrea é preciso levar em consideração que o objetivo do diagnóstico não é, e nunca será rotular aqueles que estejam dentro do espectro, mas sim orientar as famílias sobre quais suportes, terapias e ferramentas terapêuticas são as mais adequadas e onde buscar ajuda.
“Cada uma das comorbidades que aparecem dentro do espectro, precisam de técnicas adequadas e com comprovação científica de que funcionam, para dar melhores condições de vida ao paciente e a sua família”, diz.
A Psicanalista lembra que o preconceito e a desinformação ainda rotulam o Autismo como uma limitação. A história provou que essa teoria é falsa e que muitas pessoas diagnosticadas com o Espectro fazem grandes coisas e podem se destacar.
É o caso de Autistas famosos como o empresário Bill Gates; O cientista Albert Einstein; o físico Isaac Newton; o jogador Lionel Messi; a ativista Greta Thunberg; o compositor Mozart; a Zootecnista Temple Grandim; o comediante Dan Aykroyd; o surfista Clay Marzo; a cantora Courtney Love; o pintor e cineasta Andy Warhol; o ator Sheldon Cooper; a modelo Nina Marker; o ator Anthony Hopkins; a cantora Susan Boyle; o ator Keanu Reeves; o empresário Elon Musk e os brasileiros João Vitor Silva Ferreira, campeão mundial de Judô; a cantora do Programa Altas Horas, Leilah Moreno; e o campeão de Jiu-Jitsu Diego Vivaldo.
Uma lista de personalidades que, entre outros, servem de inspiração para Autistas e pais de Autistas, demonstrando que, dentro de suas habilidades, é possível se destacar e desmistificar as limitações do transtorno.
“Portanto, esse grupo de desordens de origem Neurobiológica que possui um impacto considerável na vida do indivíduo, denominado Autismo ou TEA, não determina até onde a pessoa vai chegar. São as condições, o apoio, as possibilidades, as oportunidades sociais, escolares e de intervenções que vão fazer toda a diferença na vida dela”, explica a especialista.
O autismo não tem cura, mas o seu preconceito e o seu desconhecimento a respeito do assunto, sim.
“Afinal, o Autismo é parte deste mundo, não um mundo à parte, e é fundamental promover a informação adequada, a inclusão e o respeito”, finaliza Andrea.
