No cenário da pesquisa espontâneo, o prefeito e candidato à reeleição Marcos Paulo lidera com 52,4% das intenções de voto, oscilando no limite da margem de erro entre 57,24% e 47,56%, enquanto Thiago Dutra (Sebastião Thiago Carvalho Dultra Filho), do PSB, aparece com 37,4%, variando no limite da margem de erro entre 42,24% e 32,56%. Os eleitores piatãenses indecisos (que declararam não saber ou não responderam) somam 8,0%, enquanto 1,1% dos entrevistados sinalizaram que votariam em branco ou nulo, se a eleição fosse hoje. Outros nomes foram mencionados por 1,1% dos eleitores.
Considerando os 15 pontos percentuais que separam os dois candidatos e elevado percentual de eleitores ouvidos pela pesquisa Agência Sudoeste Jornalismo, Assessoria e Pesquisas/Jornal do Sudoeste que declararam estar totalmente decididos a respeito de sua escolha para Prefeitura de Piatã, indicam o favoritismo do prefeito Marcos Paulo e que dificilmente o cenário será mudado.

A margem de erro da pesquisa é de 4,84 pontos percentuais para mais ou para menos e o nível de confiança é de 95%, o que significa que a probabilidade de uma pesquisa ter os mesmos resultados se for aplicada com um outro grupo de pessoas, dentro do mesmo perfil de amostras e com a mesma margem de erro. A pesquisa está registrada no Tribunal Superior Eleitoral sob o número BA-09333/2024.
