A Polícia Federal deflagrou na manhã desta quinta-feira, 10, a ‘Operação Copia e Cola’, com o intuito de desmantelar uma suposta organização criminosa que teria desviado recursos públicos destinados à Saúde. A investigação, que começou em 2022, surgiu após indícios de fraudes na contratação de uma Organização Social (OS) encarregada de administrar e executar serviços de Saúde em Sorocaba, SP.
Durante as apurações, a Polícia Federal detectou também atividades relacionadas à lavagem de dinheiro, incluindo depósitos em espécie, pagamentos de boletos e transações imobiliárias. O rombo estimado nos cofres públicos ultrapassa R$ 20 milhões.
Mais de 100 Agentes da Polícia Federal estão envolvidos na Operação, que cumpre 28 Mandados de Busca e Apreensão em diversas cidades do Estado de São Paulo, como Sorocaba, Araçoiaba da Serra, Votorantim, Itu, São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo, Santo André, São Caetano do Sul, Santos, Socorro, Santa Cruz do Rio Pardo e Osasco, além de um Mandado em Vitória da Conquista.
Um dos principais alvos é Rodrigo Maganhato, o prefeito de Sorocaba, conhecido nas redes sociais como Missionário Rodrigo ou Rodrigo Manga, do partido Republicanos. A Polícia Federal cumpriu Mandados de Busca e Apreensão em sua residência, bem como na sede da Secretaria Municipal de Saúde e no Diretório Municipal do Republicanos.
Vale destacar que, nesta fase da Operação, não foram expedidos Mandados de Prisão. Em relação a Vitória da Conquista, os nomes dos alvos ainda não foram divulgados. Há especulações sobre uma possível conexão com a Operação Metástase, que, em 2021, investigou fraudes em contratos de Serviços Médicos e Hospitalares com recursos públicos da Saúde, resultando em bloqueio de bens de empresários e servidores públicos.
O prefeito Rodrigo – Manga – Maganhato, o único alvo identificado até agora, emitiu uma nota à imprensa afirmando que a ação da Polícia Federal abrange outras cidades além de Sorocaba e ressaltou a disposição de colaborar com as autoridades para esclarecer os fatos o mais rápido possível.
Se confirmadas as participações no esquema fraudulento, os envolvidos poderão responder e ser responsabilizados por até seis crimes, incluindo corrupção passiva, corrupção ativa, lavagem de dinheiro, peculato, contratação direta ilegal e frustração de licitação.
