Dados do Instituto Aço Brasil revelam números desafiadores na indústria siderúrgica do país, com destaque para preocupações relacionadas às importações

A indústria siderúrgica brasileira enfrenta um período desafiador, conforme os números apresentados pelo Instituto Aço Brasil (IABr). A produção de aço bruto até o mês de julho de 2023 totalizou 18,6 milhões de toneladas, representando uma queda acentuada de 8,6% em relação ao mesmo período do ano anterior.
Desempenho de Julho
Em julho deste ano, o país produziu 2,7 milhões de toneladas de aço bruto, o que reflete um aumento de 5,9% em relação a junho. No entanto, o cenário das vendas internas não é tão otimista, com um total de 1,6 milhão de toneladas, indicando uma redução de 1,3% na comparação entre os meses. As exportações, por sua vez, atingiram 828 mil toneladas, mostrando um recuo expressivo de 30,6%.
Cenário de Importações
O consumo aparente de produtos siderúrgicos cresceu 1,4% em julho, em comparação ao mês anterior, atingindo a marca de 2 milhões de toneladas. Esse aumento é impulsionado principalmente pelo crescimento surpreendente de 26,1% nas importações, totalizando 481 mil toneladas no período. Dentre as importações, destaca-se a China, que contribuiu com 271 mil toneladas. O IABr expressa preocupação diante desse incremento nas importações, uma vez que o cenário global já apresenta um excesso de capacidade de 564 milhões de toneladas de aço, o que pode resultar em práticas desleais de mercado, protecionismo exacerbado e desequilíbrio no comércio.
Indicadores Siderúrgicos
No acumulado até julho de 2023, a produção total de aço bruto atingiu a marca de 18,6 milhões de toneladas, refletindo uma queda de 8,6% em relação ao mesmo período do ano anterior. As vendas internas alcançaram 11,3 milhões de toneladas, uma diminuição de 5,2%, enquanto as importações aumentaram consideravelmente em 48,4%, atingindo 2,7 milhões de toneladas. As exportações, por sua vez, caíram 6,2%, totalizando 7,1 milhões de toneladas. O consumo aparente de aço, resultado da soma de vendas internas e importações, registrou uma diminuição de 0,5%, totalizando 13,6 milhões de toneladas.
Confiança na Indústria do Aço
O Índice de Confiança da Indústria do Aço, calculado pelo Instituto Aço Brasil, apresentou um valor de 44,6 pontos em agosto, indicando um aumento de 0,5% em comparação a julho. Esse valor permanece abaixo da marca de 50 pontos, que sugere falta de confiança dos CEOs da indústria siderúrgica, especialmente em relação ao cenário econômico brasileiro. Este já é o décimo mês consecutivo em que o indicador se encontra abaixo desse nível crítico.

Perodua opted for a low-slung MPV with a car-like
ground clearance of 160 mm (150 mm for X, old Alza was 155 mm).
The Veloz headlamps are bridged by a chrome strip that tops the grille – these continue on the sides of the bonnet to
reach the windowline, and the chrome outline terminates at the rear screen.
Speaking of LEDs, the LED headlamps are different and the Toyota
gets LED daytime running lights (LED DRLs for the Alza come with
the optional GearUp bodykit). The grille inserts are also different – it’s ‘L’ for the Alza and ‘Y’ for the Veloz, which gets T-shaped chrome accents around the LED
fog lamp surrounds. The Veloz is of course a sister car to the recently-launched Perodua Alza, and both are manufactured by Perodua in Sg Choh, north of the Klang Valley.
I see plenty of sense in the Alza being a family car if you
have two kids (I don’t, but my parents loved the space), versus a B-segment passenger car (picture a child seat, a stroller and a week’s worth of groceries).

Couple this with a wide range of backrest recline, a fold down centre armrest and a three-speed blower,

The larger body yields more interior room for
both humans and cargo – interior length with the second row seats pushed furthest
back is 2,765 mm, which is a significant 115 mm
more than before.
That’s a very low range – the Ativa does 110 km/h at around 2,500 rpm,
never mind the old 4AT cars – and it benefits NVH and fuel economy.
The calm powertrain contributes greatly to the Alza good cruising performance.
Also unnecessary for me personally are the drive modes,
because Normal is perfectly balanced, as it
should be. Honestly, I don’t know why people are even asking this question, as Malaysians have been living with 1.5L naturally aspirated engines for such a long time.
The AV’s centre bin is also quite small, but at least
its armrest lid feels nicer than the Ativa’s “soft”
material, which is sticky and not at all cushy. To me at least, there’s ample space for a phone
slot on the centre console, where the Veloz has its wireless charger,
but P2 elected to place a card slot here.
