POR AGÊNCIA BRASIL (https://agenciabrasil.ebc.com.br/)
O projeto Meninas Negras na Ciência, uma iniciativa da Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (Fiocruz), está com inscrições abertas até 5 de outubro. O edital completo pode ser consultado no Portal da Fundação, e as inscrições podem ser feitas por meio de formulário online. Com dez meses de duração, o programa busca estimular o protagonismo juvenil e ampliar a presença de jovens negras nas áreas de ciência e tecnologia.
O projeto é destinado a 25 meninas cis ou trans que se autodeclarem negras (pretas ou pardas), com idade entre 15 e 19 anos. Três dessas vagas são reservadas para participantes com deficiência. As candidatas devem estar matriculadas em escolas públicas, cursando o 1º ou 2º ano do ensino médio (regular, técnico integrado ou Educação de Jovens e Adultos – EJA), nos turnos da tarde ou da noite, e residir nos territórios de Manguinhos, Maré, Jacarezinho, Complexo do Alemão ou São Cristóvão, comunidades da zona norte da cidade.
Vulnerabilidade social
Esse público foi escolhido por estar em situação de vulnerabilidade social e por ser historicamente invisibilizado nas áreas de ciência e tecnologia. O projeto busca promover o acesso a esses espaços, valorizando trajetórias, saberes e potencialidades que muitas vezes são ignorados ou subestimados.
As participantes terão acesso a rodas de conversa, cine-debates, palestras, oficinas temáticas e visitas a laboratórios de pesquisa, centros culturais e museus. A jornada será encerrada com a realização de um evento sociocultural. Para garantir a permanência e o pleno envolvimento das meninas em todas as atividades, presenciais ou online, o projeto oferecerá tablets e uma bolsa permanência durante todo o período.
“Estamos muito animadas com esta edição do projeto, que conta com novos parceiros e tem potencial para transformar a vida de muitas jovens. Vamos construir uma rede de trabalho colaborativa, com cientistas negras, apresentando às participantes os espaços de aprendizado da Fiocruz e as possibilidades nos campos da ciência, da saúde e da tecnologia”, afirma a coordenadora de Equidade, Diversidade, Inclusão e Políticas Afirmativas (Cedipa), Hilda Gomes.
Meninas negras
O Meninas Negras na Ciência foi idealizado em 2017 pelas educadoras Hilda Gomes e Aline Pessoa como uma estratégia de diálogo com a sociedade e incentivo a jovens negras do ensino médio, moradoras de comunidades como Manguinhos, Maré, Jacarezinho e Complexo do Alemão. Desde a criação, o projeto já beneficiou mais de mil pessoas, por meio de atividades presenciais e online, oferecendo experiências educativas, culturais e científicas. Ao valorizar a diversidade de perspectivas no campo da pesquisa, a iniciativa contribui para a inovação na ciência e promove o empoderamento, fortalecendo o protagonismo da juventude negra periférica em espaços que historicamente têm sido invisibilizados.
Cedipa
A Coordenação de Equidade, Diversidade, Inclusão e Políticas Afirmativas (Cedipa/Fiocruz) foi criada em março de 2023, com o objetivo de implementar ações que assegurem a efetivação das políticas institucionais da Fiocruz para equidade, diversidade, inclusão e políticas afirmativas, reconhecendo a pluralidade da instituição como um valor. As linhas de ação da Cedipa estão pautadas num trabalho que potencialize e fortaleça as dimensões presentes nos enfrentamentos ao racismo, capacitismo, machismo, misoginia, xenofobia, LGBTIfobia e diferentes violências de gênero e violações que comprometam o direito à vida das pessoas.
