O futuro Centro de Convenções de Vitória da Conquista vai requerer uma área de 30 mil metros quadrados, dos quais mais de 7 mil metros serão de área construída para uma capacidade de receber até 2,5 mil pessoas em seus vários espaços de eventos, incluindo auditórios e o teatro. Eis um esboço do que foi combinado com empresários conquistenses e apresentado na manhã desta segunda-feira, 04/12/23, pelo deputado federal Waldenor Pereira (PT) ao presidente da Conder – Companhia de Desenvolvimento Urbano do Estado da Bahia, José Trindade, e a Diretora de Equipamentos e Qualificação Urbanística, Larissa Britto.
Indicado pelo governador Jerônimo Rodrigues como articulador e interlocutor entre o empresariado conquistense e o Governo do Estado para viabilizar o projeto de Centro de Convenções conquistense, Waldenor Pereira conversou com representantes do setor na sexta-feira passada (1°), numa reunião que definiu a proposta para o novo empreendimento e já nesta segunda-feira entregou à Conder, órgão estadual que será responsável pela construção do novo espaço. Agora é aguardar a conclusão do projeto e publicação do edital de licitação.
Após a Ordem de Serviço do governador para iniciar as obras, são previstos 18 meses de prazo para a conclusão, o que permite uma expectativa de inauguração ainda na gestão de Jerônimo Rodrigues, estima Waldenor Pereira, que deixou a reunião da Conder manifestando-se entusiasmado e otimista de ver o sonho do Centro de Convenções conquistense realizado. “Estamos muito gratos ao governador, pela sua decisão estratégica de fortalecer o nosso município com um investimento que deve ultrapassar um total de R$ 80 milhões. Trata-se de um equipamento que vai sediar eventos artísticos, sociais, comerciais e empresariais, devendo mudar a face das artes, cultura e do turismo de negócios em Vitória da Conquista e região”.
O presidente da Conder elogiou, em gravação de vídeo, a decisão do governador de indicar o deputado Waldenor Pereira para “capitanear” as conversas com o empresariado conquistense e fazer cumprir o que ele havia prometido de realizar a obra conforme o combinado com o empresariado local. José Trindade também destacou a “grandiosidade do projeto que vai beneficiar não só Vitória da Conquista, como a região Sudoeste”.
