De 1 a 4 de maio, o Sesi Vila Leopoldina, na cidade de São Paulo irá receber o maior evento nacional de Pickleball, o Campeonato Brasileiro de Pickleball, promovido pela Confederação Brasileira de Pickleball. A competição reunirá atletas de todo o Brasil em busca de títulos e reconhecimento na modalidade que vem conquistando cada vez mais praticantes no país.
Além das disputas nas quatorze quadras do Sesi Vila Leopoldina, o evento também contará com uma série de atividades voltadas à formação e à qualificação de profissionais do esporte. Serão promovidos Cursos de Arbitragem, visando padronizar e aprimorar a atuação dos árbitros em competições futuras, e treinamentos de capacitação de Professores, com o objetivo de disseminar o Pickleball em Escolas, Clubes e Centros Esportivos por todo o Brasil.
A realização do campeonato em São Paulo marca um momento importante na popularização do Pickleball no Brasil, fortalecendo a estrutura de competições e o desenvolvimento de talentos locais e nacionais. A expectativa é de grande público e de um alto nível técnico nas disputas, que prometem emocionar os amantes do esporte.

Brumado tem se destacado no cenário estadual, mesmo que a prática do Pickleball ainda seja pouco conhecida na região. A cidade será representada na competição nacional por três atletas: Artur Figueiredo Carvalho, Paulo Esdras Oliveira da Silva Júnior e Sofia Diniz Oliveira da Silva, que brilharam na Primeira Etapa do Campeonato Baiano, realizada no início do mês em Porto Seguro.
A equipe de Brumado competirá nas seguintes categorias: Intermediária na modalidade Duplas Mistas, com a dupla Paulo Esdras e Sofia Diniz; Intermediária em Duplas Masculinas; Duplas Masculinas 40+; e Single (Simples – 1×1), com Artur Figueiredo e Paulo Esdras.
