A Secretaria de Estado da Saúde da Bahia (Sesab) informou nesta quinta-feira (2), em Nota Oficial distribuída à imprensa, que, até o momento, não há registros de casos de intoxicação por Metanol no território baiano. A declaração vem em meio ao aumento de notificações em outros Estados brasileiros, onde já foram identificados casos suspeitos e confirmados da substância tóxica.
Como medida preventiva, a Secretaria de Estado da Saúde da Bahia emitiu orientações às Unidades de Saúde da rede privada e aos Serviços de Urgência e Emergência da rede pública. A Recomendação é que os profissionais estejam atentos a sintomas clínicos compatíveis com intoxicação por Metanol e que qualquer ocorrência seja imediatamente comunicada à Secretaria. O objetivo é garantir uma resposta rápida e eficaz diante de possíveis casos.
A Secretaria de Estado da Saúde da Bahia também destacou que mantém diálogo constante com o Ministério da Saúde e autoridades sanitárias nacionais, reforçando o monitoramento da situação em nível nacional. A articulação busca assegurar que a Bahia esteja preparada para agir com agilidade, caso surjam novos episódios relacionados à substância.
Na Nota, a Secretaria de Estado da Saúde da Bahia reforça que o Governo do Estado reafirma seu compromisso com a transparência das informações e com a proteção da Saúde da população baiana, ressaltando que a vigilância permanece ativa, e todas as providências necessárias serão adotadas para garantir a segurança da sociedade.
