O Câncer de Endométrio, que se desenvolve no revestimento interno do Útero, está entre os tumores ginecológicos mais incidentes no Brasil. Segundo o Instituto Nacional de Câncer (Inca), a estimativa é de mais de 7,8 mil novos casos a cada ano no país, reforçando a importância de conhecer os sinais e fatores de risco associados à doença.
O sintoma mais frequente é o sangramento vaginal fora do período menstrual ou após a menopausa. Outros pontos de atenção incluem corrimento anormal, desconforto pélvico e dor persistente. Embora nem sempre estejam relacionados ao Câncer, esses sintomas devem ser avaliados por um médico.
Marcos Rezende, Oncologista Clínico da Oncomed-MT, destaca que alterações hormonais estão entre os principais fatores de risco para o Câncer de Endométrio, especialmente em situações como obesidade, menopausa tardia, menarca precoce e ausência de gestações. “As alterações hormonais, em especial a maior exposição ao Estrogênio sem o equilíbrio da Progesterona, representam um ponto de atenção importante para todas as mulheres, e o risco é ainda maior a partir dos 50 anos”, explica o especialista.
Além das alterações hormonais, o histórico familiar de câncer ginecológico, síndrome dos ovários policísticos e uso inadequado de terapias hormonais também podem aumentar a probabilidade de ocorrência da doença.
O médico reforça ainda que o diagnóstico precoce é decisivo para ampliar o sucesso do tratamento. “Sangramentos irregulares ou fora do período menstrual nunca devem ser ignorados, mesmo que a mulher pense que fazem parte do envelhecimento. Observar os sinais do próprio corpo e procurar um médico rapidamente pode fazer toda a diferença no sucesso do tratamento”, alerta.
O tratamento varia conforme o estágio da doença e pode incluir cirurgia, radioterapia, quimioterapia ou terapias hormonais. Em estágios iniciais, as chances de sucesso são altas, reforçando a importância da atenção aos primeiros sinais.
