Quatro dos cinco setores analisados tiveram desempenho positivo

O setor de serviços fechou o ano de 2024 com crescimento acumulado de 3,1%, completando o quarto ano consecutivo de taxas positivas, um feito inédito na série histórica, iniciada em 2012. Entre 2021 e 2024, a alta acumulada chegou a 27,4%. O resultado do ano passado também superou o de 2023, que ficou em 2,9%. Os dados foram divulgados nesta quarta-feira (12) pela Pesquisa Mensal de Serviços, do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE).
No resultado anual de 2024, quatro dos cinco setores tiveram desempenho positivo. Os maiores destaques foram os serviços de informação e comunicação e os serviços profissionais, administrativos e complementares: ambos cresceram 6,2%. Já os serviços prestados às famílias tiveram incremento de 4,4% e os outros serviços avançaram 1,1%.
O único setor com resultado negativo foi o dos transportes, com queda de -0,7%. De acordo com o gerente da pesquisa, Rodrigo Lobo, isso se deve principalmente à diminuição da receita obtida pelo transporte rodoviário de cargas, impactado pela menor safra colhida no ano passado.
Dezembro
No último mês do ano, o volume de serviços no Brasil recuou 0,5%, o segundo resultado negativo consecutivo, acumulando perda de 1,9%. Rodrigo Lobo lembra que esses dois resultados vêm depois do recorde registrado em outubro, o que eleva a base de comparação. Com relação a dezembro de 2023, o resultado foi positivo em 2,4%.
Na passagem de novembro para dezembro, três das cinco atividades apresentaram retração. A maior delas foi observada na categoria outros serviços, que caiu -4,2%, por causa principalmente do mau desempenho dos serviços financeiros auxiliares. Também tiveram recuo os serviços profissionais, administrativos e complementares (-0,7%) e e as atividades de informação e comunicação (-0,7%).
Em contraponto, os serviços prestados às famílias cresceram 0,8%, acumulando crescimento de 7,8% entre maio e dezembro de 2024. Os transportes tiveram discreta recuperação de 0,1%, depois de queda expressiva de 3,5% em novembro.
Mesmo com a queda mensal, o setor de serviços chegou ao último mês de 2024 em um patamar 15,6% acima do nível pré-pandemia, de fevereiro de 2020. Mas ainda se encontrava 1,9% abaixo do ponto mais alto da série histórica, registrado em outubro de 2024.
