A PRVB – Ponto Radiofônico a Voz de Brumado de propriedade de Oflávio Silveira Torres, um serviço de alto-falantes com diversas divulgações, sob o comando do locutor, aliás, o pioneiro de Brumado, José Maria Viana Machado. No Sábado de Aleluia, lia-se o Testamento de Judas, um momento de muita expectativa dos ouvintes para ouvir e comentar as heranças deixadas pelo apóstolo traidor de Jesus. Após a leitura do Testamento havia a queimação, enforcamento e a malhação de Judas com a participação da garotada que tinha a intenção de fazer justiça com as próprias mãos.
Esse procedimento é uma tradição milenar. O testamento é uma sátira humorística e mordaz que atingia algumas pessoas da cidade, que se indignavam com a divulgação, mas não sabiam quem o escreveu, era segredo da PRVB. Havia muitas críticas políticas, com bastante humor, que provocava descontentamento das pessoas mencionadas.
Para ilustração desse relato transcrevo a seguinte leitura do Testamento de Judas por alguém que interpretava o papel do apostolo traidor:
Sou Judas Iscariotes/traidor de Jesus/Do meu Mestre, Rei dos Mestres/De um Deus e sagrada Luz/Do inocente Cordeiro/Deus é homem verdadeiro/Que Sofreu e morreu na Cruz//
Se trair foi minha sina/Tenho que me conformar/Só a Justiça Divina/ É que bem sabe julgar/Explico melhor assim:/Que JUDAS igual a mim/ Hoje em dia é o que mais há//
Cristo não condenou Judas/Por lhe ter atraiçoado/ Porque Judas para o crime /Já nasceu predestinado/Jesus Cristo Já sabia/ Que era Judas que o traia/Sendo ele um discípulo amado//
Porque na ultima ceia/Quis Jesus advertir/Estas frase aos seus apóstolos /Quis seus lábios proferir/Aquela sentença atroz:/ “Meus amigos, um de vós/Hoje há de me trair!”.

O testamento de Judas é peça literária de grande criatividade, remonta ao período da peregrinação de Jesus. Foi trazida para a América por espanhóis e portugueses. Até hoje o nome Judas é sinônimo de traição.
Judas Iscariotes procurou os principais sacerdotes e propôs: “Que me quereis dar, e eu o entregarei? Pagaram-lhe trinta moedas de prata”. E desse momento em diante, buscava uma boa ocasião para entrega-lo, e o fez, no Monte das Oliveiras, com um beijo, para identifica-Lo. Fato já esperado por Jesus. Jesus já sabia do caráter de Judas desde o princípio, mas os apóstolos não suspeitavam.
Judas vendo que Jesus fora condenado, tocado de remorso, devolveu as trinta moedas de prata aos principais sacerdotes e aos anciãos, dizendo: “Pequei traindo o inocente Jesus”. Eles responderam: “Que nos importa? Isso é contigo”. Então Judas, entrou em desespero, retirou-se e se enforcou. segundo a tradição Católica, por isso, condenou-se ao inferno. Ninguém sabe quais foram os verdadeiros motivos que levaram Judas a voltar-se contra Jesus.
