Eleitos de cor preta e indígenas registraram maiores crescimentos

Com base nos resultados das eleições municipais de 2024, o Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE) avalia que há rejuvenescimento e maior diversidade entre os 5.543 prefeitos, 5.543 vice-prefeitos e 58.072 vereadores que serão empossados para mandatos de quatro anos nesta quarta-feira (1º).
Dados do Portal de Dados Abertos do TSE mostram que a faixa etária abaixo dos 39 anos foi a que mais cresceu entre os eleitos. O número de mulheres eleitas, segundo o tribunal, também aumentou em todos os cargos em disputa, quando comparado ao último pleito municipal, realizado em 2020.
Faixa etária
No cargo de prefeito, o grupo com até 29 anos mais que triplicou, passando de 36 eleitos nessa faixa etária em 2020 para 119 no pleito deste ano. As prefeituras registraram quedas classificadas como significativas entre as faixas mais avançadas – em 2024, foram 851 eleitos entre 60 e 69 anos (-29%) e 249 eleitos acima dos 70 anos (-38%).
Para vice-prefeito, o cenário, segundo o tribunal, é semelhante, com um número três vezes maior entre os mais jovens, com até 29 anos, e quedas substanciais nas faixas de 50 a 59 e acima dos 70 anos.
O mesmo movimento foi observado entre os eleitos para vereador, em que os candidatos mais jovens, com até 39 anos, conquistaram mais espaço. “As faixas de 60 a 69 anos e de 70 a 79 anos tiveram diminuições acentuadas”, avaliou o TSE.
A idade mediana de prefeitos, vice-prefeitos e vereadores eleitos é 46 anos. “Há mais de uma década, em 2012, o “ponto do meio” foi 56 anos. A mediana (ou ponto do meio) é utilizada para separar o conjunto de idades sem refletir valores muito pequenos ou muito grandes que podem estar nas pontas”, informou o tribunal.
Presença feminina
Para o cargo de prefeito, houve um aumento de 7% no número de mulheres eleitas em relação a 2020, totalizando 728 eleitas. No cargo de vice-prefeito, o crescimento foi ainda mais expressivo, 15% — 1.066 vices eleitas. Já para o cargo de vereador, o crescimento foi 12% (10.537), embora o número de homens eleitos continue superior (47.189).
Diversidade étnica
A representatividade por cor e raça autodeclaradas, de acordo com o TSE, segue um padrão de “ligeira diminuição” para candidatos brancos em todos os cargos. Entre prefeitos eleitos, houve queda de 3% (3.634) entre os autodeclarados brancos, enquanto o número de indígenas cresceu 12% (9) e os pretos aumentaram 14% (128).
Entre os vice-prefeitos, os eleitos de cor preta também apresentaram crescimento classificado pelo tribunal como expressivo, de 38% (250), o maior em comparação a outros grupos étnicos.
Já entre vereadores, eleitos de cor preta e indígenas registraram maiores crescimentos, com 11% (3.984) e 31% (240), respectivamente.
Grau de instrução
Em relação ao nível educacional, a maioria dos candidatos eleitos em 2024 tem ensino superior completo para os cargos de prefeito (59%) e vice-prefeito (47%) – 3.285 e 2.617, respectivamente. Para vereadores, o ensino médio completo é o nível predominante, com 21.952 (38%) eleitos, seguido pelo superior completo.
