Para fortalecer a política de internacionalização da Uesb, foi firmado o convênio com o Instituto Superior de Artes e Cultura (Isarc), situado em Moçambique. A parceria foca em cooperação mútua entre os conhecimentos produzidos na Universidade, junto aos Programas de Pós-Graduação em Relações Étnicas e Contemporaneidade (PPGRec) e Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ensino (PPGen), e o Isarc.
Com essa assinatura, somam-se três instituições moçambicanas parceiras da Uesb. Desde 2023, diálogos vêm sendo realizados com o Instituto, por meio da recepção de estudantes para realização de estudos avançados em Educação e Ensino, trabalhos científicos publicados em conjunto, teses com co-orientação, realização de estágios de pós-doutorado, entre outras ações.
O professor Jackson Reis, assessor de Relações Internacionais da Uesb, afirma que essa contribuição entre as instituições ocorre em diferentes áreas de conhecimento. “A título de exemplificação, citamos o desenvolvimento de pesquisa científica de excelência, visando planejar, desenvolver e avaliar políticas públicas em áreas como Matemática, Ciências Agrárias, Educação, Saúde, Linguística, Relações Raciais etc.”, explica.
Os trabalhos já foram iniciados. Em março de 2025, foi lançado o Edital para seleção de alunos do Instituto para os cursos de Mestrado dos Programas citados acima. Além disso, posteriormente, está previsto o Edital de seleção de servidores para mobilidade de curta duração.
De acordo o diretor geral do Isarc, o professor Filimone Meigo, com o convênio, espera-se aumentar a visibilidade nacional e internacional dessas instituições e cumprir as atividades que fazem parte do pilar de ensino e aprendizagem. “Como atividades, o nosso plano estratégico elenca a melhoria da qualidade de ensino e aprendizagem, implementação de ações de formação avançada dos docentes e realização de atividades de pesquisa e extensão”, pontua.
