Na sessão ordinária da sexta-feira (5), o líder do Governo Ana Sheila Lemos Andrade (UB) na Câmara Municipal de Vitória da Conquista, vereador Edivaldo Santos Ferreira Júnior (PSDB), fez duras críticas à elevação dos preços das passagens aéreas na cidade, apontando impactos negativos na economia local, regional e estadual.
Durante seu pronunciamento, o parlamentar tucano ressaltou que a questão já vem sendo debatida há algum tempo, mas que requer maior atenção do Legislativo, do Executivo e da população conquistense e regional. Segundo ele, os valores elevados estão prejudicando toda a cadeia econômica e social da região Sudoeste da Bahia.
Edivaldo Júnior apresentou dados que evidenciam a discrepância dos preços praticados em Vitória da Conquista comparados a cidades de perfil semelhante, como Guanambi e Barreiras. Para cobrar transparência e buscar soluções, o vereador anunciou que a Câmara Municipal aprovou um Requerimento de sua autoria dirigido ao presidente da República (Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva), ao governador do Bahia (Jerônimo Rodrigues Souza), ao ministro de Estado do Turismo (Celso Sabino de Oliveira), ao secretário de Estado do Turismo da Bahia (e à companhia aérea Azul Linhas Aéreas. O documento questiona os critérios utilizados na definição de rotas, frequências e tarifas em Vitória da Conquista.
“Todas essas cidades têm apenas três voos semanais. Então, por que Vitória da Conquista tem passagens tão mais caras? Essa é uma questão que exige uma resposta rápida. E há previsão de ampliação de voos, horários ou destinos?”, indagou.
Edivaldo também informou que, na última quarta-feira, 4, esteve em Salvador para entregar pessoalmente o requerimento ao deputado estadual Tiago Correia (PSDB), buscando apoio da Assembleia Legislativa da Bahia. Ele citou ainda manifestações de apoio de outros parlamentares, como o deputado Fabrício Falcão (PCdoB) e o presidente da Câmara Municipal, Ivan Cordeiro (PL).
“Essa é uma luta que atravessa partidos. O problema é real e afeta a mobilidade da população, além de gerar prejuízos à economia do estado. Muitos moradores do Sudoeste têm deixado de ir a Salvador em busca de saúde, educação e outros serviços, optando por capitais como São Paulo e Belo Horizonte, onde os preços são mais acessíveis. Estamos sendo desprestigiados, e isso não pode continuar”, afirmou.
O vereador reforçou a necessidade de explicações e de soluções concretas para o problema, que vem afetando a qualidade de vida e o desenvolvimento regional.
