Na sua primeira participação na tribuna da Câmara Municipal de Vitória da Conquista, durante a Sessão Ordinária da sexta-feira (8), a vereadora Gabriela de Diego Garrido (PV) destacou a importância da instituição da Procuradoria da Mulher no âmbito do Legislativo Municipal. A proposta, já apresentada ao presidente da Casa, vereador Ivan Cordeiro da Silva Filho (PL) – que tem demonstrado sensibilidade em relação às proposições que visam ampliar o espaço e os direitos das mulheres no Legislativo Municipal – será formalizada por meio de um Requerimento dirigido à Mesa Diretora.
A vereadora Gabriela Garrido ressaltou que a iniciativa nasceu após um encontro com a Deputada Estadual Fabíola Mansur de Carvalho (PSB), que atua como Procuradora da Mulher na Assembleia Legislativa da Bahia (Alba), ocorrido durante a semana em Salvador. “A Procuradoria da Mulher fortalece a legitimidade na fiscalização das políticas públicas voltadas às mulheres e no acompanhamento do atendimento às vítimas de violência”, afirmou a vereadora.
Além disso, Gabriela Garrido informou que manteve diálogos com as Secretarias de Estado de Educação, do Trabalho, Emprego, Renda, Esportes e da Segurança Pública da Bahia, buscando recursos, projetos e obras que possam beneficiar a população de Vitória da Conquista.
