A ultima sessão ordinária de 2025 da Câmara de Vereadores de Vitória da Conquista foi marcada por um anúncio histórico: a implantação da TV Câmara, prevista para iniciar suas transmissões em 2026. O novo canal promete ampliar a transparência e garantir maior acesso da população às atividades do Legislativo municipal.
O presidente do Legislativo Municipal, vereador Ivan Cordeiro da Silva Filho (PL), oficializou a novidade após a confirmação da adesão ao Programa Brasil Digital, do Ministério das Comunicações. O Termo de Cooperação foi publicado no Diário Oficial da União e assinado pelo ministro de Estado das Comunicações Frederico de Siqueira Filho e pela Diretora da Fundação Paulo Jackson – Empresa Pública da estrutura da Assembleia Legislativa da Bahia, mantenedora da TV e Rádio Assembleia – Michele Gramacho Motta, no último dia 16. O acordo prevê a instalação de uma estação de televisão digital na cidade, com vigência por prazo indeterminado.
Durante a sessão, foi reproduzido um áudio enviado pela Diretora da Fundação Paulo Jackson, Michele Gramacho Motta, celebrando a conquista. Ela destacou que Vitória da Conquista passa a integrar o grupo de municípios contemplados com sinal aberto de TV Digital pelo Programa Brasil Digital, que já atende 133 cidades baianas. Segundo a Diretora da Fundação Paulo Jackson, além da retransmissão da programação da TV ALBA, o município contará em breve com sua própria emissora legislativa.
Michele Gramacho ressaltou que a iniciativa representa um avanço na comunicação pública, aproximando a população do Parlamento e fortalecendo o compromisso com a transparência. Ela agradeceu a parceria com o presidente da Casa, vereador Ivan Cordeiro (PL) e parabenizou o Diretor de Comunicação da Câmara Municipal, jornalista Fábio Santos Sena, pelo empenho no Projeto.
Com a chegada da TV Câmara, Vitória da Conquista dá um passo importante na democratização da informação e no fortalecimento da cidadania, permitindo que os moradores acompanhem de forma direta e acessível os debates, projetos e decisões do Legislativo Municipal.
