A edição da Marcha das Mulheres deste ano trocou a tradicional caminhada pelas ruas do Centro de Vitória da Conquista pela realização de uma série de pit stops em locais variados da cidade. A medida é em decorrência da pandemia do novo coronavírus e tem o objetivo de evitar aglomerações. A Marcha realizará ainda uma campanha de coleta de alimentos e produtos de higiene pessoal que serão doados a mulheres em situação de vulnerabilidade social.
O ato é realizado pelo Fórum de Mulheres, que reúne entidades, desde coletivos, sindicatos e ONGs, e já se tornou um evento regular no calendário das atividades que envolvem o 8 de Março, Dia Internacional da Mulher. Em sua quinta edição, a iniciativa integra uma rede com mais de 80 organizações de todo o Brasil, que defende a luta pela vida das mulheres, vacinação contra a Covid-19 para todos os brasileiros, retorno do auxílio emergencial no valor de R$ 600,00, e o afastamento do presidente Jair Bolsonaro.

Além de aderir ao movimento nacional, o grupo que organiza o movimento em Conquista também apresenta uma série de demandas como o funcionamento 24 horas e qualificação/ampliação do quadro de profissionais da Delegacia Especializada no Atendimento à Mulher (DEAM) para o acolhimento e acompanhamento das vítimas, com melhoria urgente dos serviços prestados; efetiva implementação da Casa Abrigo, que seja flutuante e ofereça creche e escola para as crianças que acompanham as mães em situação de violência; efetiva implantação da “Parada Segura”, garantia do sistema de integração do transporte público e campanha contra a importunação sexual nesses espaços; e formação de servidores da área da saúde para melhoria do atendimento às mulheres, superação da violência obstétrica e atenção especializada para lésbicas e transexuais.

A programação do 8 de Março conta com Pit Stop e Varal solidário na segunda-feira (8), das 11h às 13h, militantes (em dupla ou trio) estarão em postos alertando para os temas da campanha e também recebendo doações para a ação solidária.
