A Prefeitura Municipal de Igaporã está desenvolvendo um projeto voltado ao fortalecimento e apoio das Comunidades Quilombolas do município, com destaque para Passagem da Pedra, Gurunga e Lapinha – oficialmente reconhecidas – além de outras em processo de certificação. A iniciativa tem como meta a criação de um coletivo que integre todas as comunidades quilombolas da região, promovendo representatividade e articulação conjunta.
Intitulado Racismo Ambiental e Justiça Climática, o projeto é coordenado pela Secretaria Municipal de Cultura e Turismo, com apoio das Secretarias Municipais de Educação, Agricultura e Saúde. A ação conta ainda com a parceria da Universidade do Estado da Bahia (Uneb), da empresa Renova Energia e do Sindicato dos Trabalhadores Rurais de Igaporã.
Como parte do cronograma de atividades, foi realizado no dia 14 de setembro o Primeiro Encontro de Comunidades Quilombolas de Igaporã: Identidade, Território E Resistência, sediado na Comunidade de Lapinha. O evento contou com a presença da professora Rosemária Joazeiro Pinto de Sousa e do professor Nivaldo Osvaldo Dutra, ambos da Universidade do Estado da Bahia (Uneb) Campus de Caetité, além de representantes das Comunidades de Gurunga, Passagem da Pedra, Lapinha e da futura Comunidade Quilombola da Caiçara.
“Cada participação trouxe consigo histórias, memórias e a certeza de que a resistência Quilombola segue viva e pulsante”, destacou a Secretaria Municipal de Culrtura em publicação nas redes sociais.
A programação do Encontro incluiu apresentações culturais de capoeira, cantigas de roda e reizado, oficinas de tranças e atendimentos de Saúde com aferição de Pressão Arterial e Testes de Glicemia realizados por agentes da Secretaria Municipal de Saúde.
O calendário do Projeto prevê novas ações até o final do ano, reforçando o compromisso da gestão municipal com a valorização da Cultura Quilombola, a promoção da Justiça Social e o enfrentamento das desigualdades ambientais.
