Viver, como escrever, é tentativa, e Rosa, o Guimarães, vive ainda entre nós como um dos grandes tentadores do idioma e da alma brasileira.
Em 2025, de 6 a 13 de julho, a 37ª Semana Rosiana será realizada em Cordisburgo, sua terra natal. Não se trata apenas de uma homenagem, mas de um gesto vivo de permanência. Rosa não está no passado: ele é um escritor para os dias futuros. Sob o tema “Personagens e suas lembranças, bichos e suas estórias em Guimarães Rosa”, o evento deste ano mergulha na vastidão simbólica de sua obra, recuperando as figuras humanas e animais que, mais do que personagens, são formas da linguagem e da experiência. Ao lado de Diadorim e Riobaldo, Miguilim e Nhinhinha, caminham os animais: o burrico ligeiro, o cavalo de guerra, a ave que assobia a sina.
Rosa inscreve os bichos não como ornamento, mas como sujeitos de percepção. “Bicho também é gente, só que é bicho”, diria Miguilim, e esse olhar, ternamente invertido, antecipa uma ética que hoje chamaríamos de pós-antropocêntrica. A 37ª Semana Rosiana, com saraus, shows, curtas, palestras e cavalgadas, reintegra o texto à vida e a vida ao texto.
Origens de Guimarães Rosa
A casa onde nasceu Rosa – hoje museu e território poético – não é um relicário, mas uma fonte ativa de sentido. Ali, em Cordisburgo, nas cercanias do Morro da Garça, a infância se mistura com o mito, e a prosa rosiana se reencontra com os ritmos do sertão real, onde a fala popular e a invenção verbal se confundem.
Guimarães Rosa é, como definiu Benedito Nunes, um “escritor-linguista e místico”, que operou a síntese entre o regional e o universal. Sua obra, diz Nunes, não é regionalismo, mas “metafísica do sertão”. Ela dialoga com Cervantes, Joyce, Dostoiévski, mas também com a reza, a folia, a fala rude dos vaqueiros e o silêncio dos ermos. Rosa compreendeu que o sertão não é lugar, mas travessia, e que travessia é aquilo que funda o humano. “O sertão está em toda parte”, repete Riobaldo, como quem anuncia a ubiquidade da experiência existencial.
No mundo contemporâneo, feito de excessos de fala e carência de sentido, Rosa nos propõe escutar. Seu estilo é feito de paciência, de busca, de lapidação de palavras como pedras preciosas do espírito. Como afirmou Antonio Candido, Rosa foi o “supremo artífice da linguagem brasileira”, aquele que soube tensionar a língua portuguesa até seus limites, para dela extrair um som novo – sertanejo e cósmico, popular e filosófico, mineiro e mundial.
Atualidade da cultura
A Semana Rosiana torna-se, assim, um projeto de Minas Gerais para a educação sensível, o patrimônio literário e o reencontro com o Brasil profundo. Sua realização reforça o compromisso de integrar literatura, tradição, oralidade e pensamento crítico num mesmo gesto de formação estética e cidadã. Rosa é, também, um educador da linguagem e da ética.
Ao celebrar os 37 anos do evento, Minas reafirma a atualidade de sua própria cultura. Rosa é mineiro não por acaso, mas por destino. Mineiro no silêncio, na escuta, na filosofia feita a pé, no barroco da dúvida. Um escritor que ousou perguntar o que poucos se atrevem a pensar: o que é o bem? o que é o mal? o que é o homem?
A 37ª Semana Rosiana é, por isso, mais do que uma festa: é uma escola da sensibilidade. E é também um altar laico, onde celebramos a palavra como experiência de travessia. Guimarães Rosa, em sua obra, nos legou um país que ainda precisamos alcançar: o Brasil da complexidade, do sertão pensado, da cultura como força vital.
Celebrar Rosa é caminhar para dentro. Ou, como disse Riobaldo, “viver é muito perigoso”, mas é também, e sempre, muito belo.
