Fundada em 2009, a Associação do Grupo de Economia Solidária de Candiba (Agescan) tem se destacado como um exemplo de transformação social e produtiva por meio da Agroindústria Familiar. Com o apoio do Governo do Estado, através da Secretaria de Estado de Desenvolvimento Rural da Bahia, por meio da Companhia de Desenvolvimento e Ação Regional (CAR), a Associação do Grupo de Economia Solidária de Candiba (Agescan) recebeu uma Cozinha Comunitária totalmente equipada, criando oportunidades para aumentar a produção e a renda de mulheres agricultoras e empreendedoras da região.

Além de produzir alimentos, a Agescan oferece cursos de capacitação profissional em áreas como Panificação, Confeitaria, Fabricação de Queijos, Iogurtes e Produtos Derivados da Mandioca. O espaço também é utilizado para eventos, palestras e treinamentos.
Ana Rosa Ramos, presidente da Associação, ressalta a relevância desse investimento para a autonomia financeira das associadas. “A Agroindústria tem sido fundamental para que as associadas adquiram novos conhecimentos e desenvolvam atividades rentáveis. Estamos fornecendo produtos para a alimentação escolar, e muitas participantes das capacitações já estão gerando sua própria renda com a produção de bolos, salgados e biscoitos”, afirma.
A Cozinha Comunitária é equipada com Seladora a Vácuo, Balança Eletrônica Computadorizada, Liquidificador Industrial, Batedeira Planetária, Pingadeira Mecânica para Biscoito de Polvilho, Fritadeira e Forno Industrial Turbo Elétrico. Com essa infraestrutura, a produção mensal chega a cerca de três mil salgados, proporcionando renda para o grupo de mulheres.
Além da venda direta ao consumidor, a Agroindústria mantém contratos com programas institucionais, como o Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar (Pnae) e o Programa de Aquisição de Alimentos (PAA). Apenas para o Pnae, são entregues mensalmente 5.100 pães e 200 quilos de bolos, garantindo alimentos de qualidade para os estudantes da região e fortalecendo o mercado da agricultura familiar.
Expansão e Novas Oportunidades
A atuação da Associação do Grupo de Economia Solidária de Candiba (Agescan) recebeu um novo impulso com a participação no Programa Comida no Prato, uma iniciativa do Governo do Estado da Bahia, no âmbito do Programa Bahia Sem Fome, operacionalizado pela Secretaria de Estado de Desenvolvimento Rural da Bahia, através da Companhia de Desenvolvimento e Ação Regional (CAR), voltada para a segurança alimentar e nutricional. Com esse Edital, a Agroindústria passará a distribuir 2.400 marmitas por mês no município, ampliando o atendimento a famílias em situação de vulnerabilidade e fortalecendo a rede de segurança alimentar na região.
O Edital Comida no Prato tem como meta fortalecer a Rede de Equipamentos Integrados para o Combate à Fome na Bahia, como parte da estratégia do Programa Estadual Bahia Sem Fome.
Com um ambiente acolhedor, a Agescan mantém uma cantina aberta ao público na sede do município, onde os clientes podem adquirir produtos artesanais e desfrutar de um café enquanto interagem com as produtoras.
Além disso, a Associação foi selecionada no Edital da CAR de Apoio às Agroindústrias Ativas, uma das estratégias para fortalecer a agricultura familiar no Estado. Esse apoio visa promover avanços significativos na produção, produtividade e acesso ao mercado para Agroindústrias Familiares em estágios iniciais ou intermediários de desenvolvimento. A expectativa é que, com esse suporte, a Agroindústria da Agescan melhore suas práticas de gestão, aumente sua produtividade e conquiste novos mercados.
