Em cerimônia marcada pela presença de autoridades municipais, estaduais e federais, Belo Campo celebrou a entrega da Unidade Básica de Saúde (UBS) Maria das Graças Paz Santos, localizada no Bairro Morada Real. O ato contou com a participação do prefeito Fidélis – Neto Fidélis – Pereira Reis (PSD), do secretário municipal de Saúde, Fábio Maia Prado, da secretária de Estado da Saúde da Bahia, Roberta Silva de Carvalho Santana, e do ministro de Estado Chefe da Casa Civil, Rui Costa dos Santos.
Construída e equipada em parceria entre os Governos Federal e do Estado, através do Ministério da Saúde e da Secretaria de Estado de Saúde da Bahia, a nova Unidade Básica de Saúde (UBS Tipo II) fortalece a rede pública de Saúde do município, ampliando e qualificando a oferta de serviços e garantindo maior eficiência no atendimento à população. A estrutura dispõe de cinco Consultórios Clínicos, Gabinete Odontológico, Salas de Vacinação, Teleconsulta e Amamentação. O investimento total foi de R$ 2,3 milhões, financiados com recursos do Novo Programa de Aceleração do Crescimento (Novo PAC).
Durante a inauguração, o prefeito Fidélis – Neto Fidélis – Pereira Reis destacou que o equipamento representa um marco para a Saúde Pública local, ressaltando que a Unidade é fruto de muito trabalho, articulação política e parceria, e vai modernizar e qualificar o atendimento, reforçando o compromisso da gestão municipal com o cuidado, a prevenção e o bem-estar da população”, afirmou.
A solenidade reuniu prefeitos da região, parlamentares e lideranças políticas, entre eles o senador da República Jacques Wagner (PT/BA) e o deputado federal Waldenor Alves Pereira Filho (PT/BA).
Presente ao ato inaugural, o deputado federal Waldenor Pereira (PT/BA) ressaltou que a inauguração da nova Unidade Básica de Saúde de Belo Campo simboliza não apenas um avanço na infraestrutura de Saúde, mas também um passo importante na consolidação de políticas públicas voltadas à qualidade de vida dos belocampenses.
