Estimativa indica crescimento de 12,5% sobre a coheita anterior

A Companhia Nacional de Abastecimento (Conab) divulgou hoje (11) a quarta estimativa para a safra 2021/22 de grãos, em que prevê produção de 284,4 milhões de toneladas.
A cifra representa crescimento de 12,5% em relação à safra 2020/21, o equivalente a 32 milhões de toneladas. A previsão, contudo, foi reduzida em relação à terceira estimativa, que tinha sido de 291,1 milhões de toneladas.
Segundo a Conab, condições climáticas desfavoráveis no Sul do país prejudicaram as estimativas de produção da primeira safra de milho e da soja, com registro de um dezembro seco no Rio Grande do Sul, por exemplo.
O destaque continua sendo a soja, com incremento de 3,8% na área plantada e estimativa de produção de 140,5 milhões de toneladas, o que representa redução de 2,3 milhões de toneladas em relação à previsão anterior.
No caso do milho, a produção para a primeira safra está estimada em 24,8 milhões de toneladas. A previsão para a produção total, incluindo a segunda e a terceira safras, é 112,9 milhões de toneladas.
Outro destaque é o trigo, cuja safra já foi encerrada com colheita de 7,7 milhões de toneladas, resultado superior ao da safra anterior, apesar do registro de estiagens e geadas que prejudicaram a produção. Favoreceu a cultura o incremento da área plantada, informou a Conab.
Outra cultura que teve bom desempenho foi o algodão, com aumento de 1,5 milhão na área plantada e produção de pluma de 2,7 milhões de toneladas. No caso do arroz, porém, a área plantada se reduziu, e a produção está estimada em 11,38 milhões de toneladas.
O feijão também seguiu tendência de queda, com redução de 2% na área a ser semeada na primeira safra, cuja estimativa de produção ficou em 988,4 mil toneladas. Incluindo-se a segunda e terceira safras, a estimativa total é de 3,08 milhões de toneladas.
Exportações
A Conab informou que as exportações de soja chegaram a 86,1 milhões de toneladas no ano passado, superando o recorde anterior, registrado em 2018.
No caso do algodão em pluma, no ano passado foram exportadas 2 milhões de toneladas, 58% acima da média dos últimos cinco anos. Para 2022, é estimado crescimento para 2,05 milhões.
