POR LUCIMAR ALMEIDA
A Prefeitura Municipal de Correntina anunciou na segunda-feira (19) que o município foi excluído das complementações federais do Fundo de Manutenção e Desenvolvimento da Educação Básica e de Valorização dos Profissionais da Educação (Fundeb) em 2025. A causa dessa exclusão foi a não atualização do Sistema de Informações sobre Orçamentos Públicos em Educação (Siope) por três anos consecutivos, de 2022 a 2024, na gestão do ex-prefeito Nilson José – Maguila – Rodrigues (PCdoB).
Essa negligência resultou na inabilitação de Correntina para receber a complementação VAAT (Valor Aluno Ano Total), gerando um prejuízo estimado entre R$ 10 milhões e R$ 15 milhões, que poderiam ter sido investidos na rede municipal de Educação.
O Siope é o Sistema oficial do Fundo Nacional de Desenvolvimento da Educação (Fnde), autarquia federal vinculada ao Ministério da Educação, utilizado por todos os municípios brasileiros para registrar a aplicação dos recursos destinados à Educação. Sem o envio dessas informações, a União entende que o município não está apto a receber recursos complementares, como as parcelas do VAAT (Valor Aluno Ano Total), mecanismo criado para reduzir desigualdades educacionais entre regiões.
