Os dados foram compilados no fim da tarde de quarta-feira (17) pelo Ministério da Saúde, com informações fornecidas pelas secretarias estaduais de Saúde. Em apenas 24 horas, foram registradas 2.648 mortes e outros 3.045 óbitos estão em investigação.
Entre os infectados, 10.287.057 já se recuperaram e 1.122.006 estão em acompanhamento. Nas últimas 24 horas do levantamento de dados, foram confirmados 90.303 novos casos.
São Paulo lidera com o maior número de óbitos entre os estados (65.519), seguido por Rio de Janeiro (34.586), Minas Gerais (21.029) e Rio Grande do Sul (15.819). Em número de casos, São Paulo continua na frente (2.243.868), seguido por Minas Gerais (991.732), Paraná (775.070), Rio Grande do Sul (763.794) e Bahia (753.584).
