A baixa oferta de voos ligando Salvador a Vitória da Conquista voltou a ser pauta de discussão na Bahia. Em pronunciamento na Assembleia Legislativa e em entrevista à rádio Band FM, na terça-feira (14), o deputado estadual José Raimundo Fontes (PT) manifestou preocupação com os impactos da redução das conexões aéreas para o desenvolvimento da região.
Para o deputado petista, a limitação de voos entre Vitória da Conquista e Salvador compromete a integração regional e o crescimento econômico do município e de sua macrorregião. Ele destacou que, sendo Vitória da Conquista um dos principais polos econômicos, educacionais e de serviços do interior baiano, a conectividade aérea é essencial para o desenvolvimento local. Zé Raimundo lembrou que, nos últimos anos, a cidade recebeu investimentos significativos, desde melhorias no antigo Aeroporto até a construção do novo Terminal, projetado para ampliar a oferta de voos, receber aeronaves de maior porte e reduzir o custo das passagens.
No entanto, o cenário atual não corresponde às expectativas. A rota para Salvador conta hoje com apenas três voos semanais, em horários pouco favoráveis para quem precisa viajar a trabalho. Em contrapartida, há mais opções de voos para destinos como São Paulo e Belo Horizonte, muitas vezes com tarifas mais acessíveis.
Zé Raimundo destacou que o Governo do Estado tem buscado alternativas para enfrentar o problema, incluindo medidas de incentivo fiscal, como a redução de impostos sobre o querosene de aviação. Ele acrescentou que o deputado federal Waldenor Alves Pereira Filho (PT/BA) está em articulação em Brasília, em diálogo com a Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (Anac) e outros órgãos federais.
Zé Raimundo reconheceu que o setor aéreo ainda enfrenta dificuldades após a pandemia da Covid-19, mas ressaltou que não há justificativa clara para a baixa oferta de voos para Salvador, especialmente diante da alta demanda registrada em outras rotas.
“Estamos acompanhando de perto e buscando alternativas. É fundamental ampliar a conectividade do interior para fortalecer o desenvolvimento econômico e social da Bahia”, afirmou.
