Saber declamar poesia, de verdade, com emoção e sensibilidade, é um dom. Ler poesia é fácil, porque não exige interpretação, recriação do sentimento do poeta-autor e, principalmente, não exige a emoção de saber dar vida ao poema, características de um bom declamador.
E, cá pra nós, bons declamadores não são encontrados facilmente nos dias de hoje. Aliás, já em tempos idos eles não eram encontrados facilmente, imagine-se atualmente. Declamadores de verdade, com talento e maestria, infelizmente são muito poucos.
E poesia, apesar de toda a gama de meios para coloca-la à disposição do leitor, nos dias atuais, com toda tecnologia que temos, ainda é um gênero que vende pouco. Talvez até pelo fato de haver grande oferta, com toda a democracia da internet nos últimos tempos, a venda de livros de poemas, mesmo digitais, não é o que gostaríamos que fosse. É claro que a oferta incomensurável nos meios digitais faz com que a qualidade de boa parte do que é publicado não seja muito grande, o que aumenta o estigma do gênero.
Então há que divulgarmos a boa poesia, há que incentivarmos e apoiarmos aqueles que têm talento e disposição para se firmarem como bons declamadores, pois se o leitor não está comprando livros de poemas, se não está lendo muito o gênero, quem sabe se ouvindo uma declamação, o leitor-ouvinte não pode ser conquistado, quem sabe não possa descobrir que gosta de poesia e acabar comprando os livros que contém este tipo de literatura?
Infelizmente, não é comum ouvirmos declamação por aí, em programas de rádio ou televisão, em festas, etc. Em eventos literários até há quem diga poesia, mas geralmente são pessoas (poetas, quase sempre) que simplesmente conseguem apenas ler o poema e nem sempre a leitura é boa. Digo isso porque frequento eventos literários e até participo. E sei que quando aceito o convite para dizer um poema meu, apenas leio, e não faço uma boa leitura. Gostaria de saber declamar pelo menos os meus poemas, mas não tenho esse talento.
Então quando vejo na TV, num programa como Got Talent, onde se apresentam apenas grandes performances, aparece concorrendo uma pessoa declamando um poema – e de própria autoria.
