O Ministério dos Transportes alerta que não houve qualquer tipo de alteração nas regras para transportar crianças com menos de dez anos em carros. A Secretaria Nacional de Trânsito (Senatran) reforça que permanece a obrigatoriedade do uso de bebê conforto, cadeirinha, assento de elevação ou cinto de segurança de três pontos, conforme a faixa etária, altura e peso, definidos no Código de Trânsito Brasileiro (CTB).
Além de risco à segurança da criança, o transporte inadequado é considerado uma infração gravíssima, com perda de sete pontos na Carteira Nacional de Habilitação (CNH). A multa para quem não respeitar a lei é de R$293,47 e pode haver retenção do veículo.
“Tem circulado algumas matérias falsas falando de uma suposta modificação na lei da cadeirinha, mas a última modificação do Código de Trânsito foi em 2021 e a Resolução Contran que regulamentou a esta lei também é de 2021. De lá para cá não houve nenhuma mudança nas normas. Então fique sempre atento e não caia em fake news”, alertou o secretário Nacional de Trânsito, Adrualdo Catão.
