Em uma iniciativa marcada pelo compromisso com o meio ambiente e o bem-estar da comunidade, o prefeito de Bom Jesus da Lapa, Eures Ribeiro Pereira (PSD), assinou um Termo de Compromisso com o Ministério Público Estadual, representado pela Promotora de Justiça Regional Ambiental de Bom Jesus da Lapa, Luciana Espinheira da Costa Khoury, que Coordena a 51ª Etapa da Fiscalização Preventiva Integrada da Bacia Hidrográfica do Rio São Francisco (FPI), que está sendo realizada na região do município, reafirmando o papel fundamental da Administração Municipal no enfrentamento do descarte irregular de lixo. A ação visa eliminar o lixão a céu aberto que ainda persiste na cidade e implementar políticas públicas que conscientizem a sociedade sobre a importância de práticas sustentáveis.
Ao formalizar o documento, o prefeito Eures Ribeiro Pereira (PSD) reforçou seu compromisso pessoal de promover a harmonização entre o desenvolvimento econômico e a preservação ambiental, reconhecendo que a gestão adequada dos resíduos sólidos é essencial para garantir uma melhor qualidade de vida para todos. Entre as ações previstas está a implantação de um Sistema de Coleta Seletiva do Lixo Doméstico e Comercial, buscando incentivar a reciclagem, reduzir a geração de resíduos e minimizar os impactos ambientais, além de criar espaço para geração de novos empregos, empreendimentos e renda.
Ao anunciar a assinatura do compromisso, o prefeito Eures Ribeiro reforçou a importância de envolver toda a comunidade nesse processo, promovendo campanhas de conscientização para sensibilizar os cidadãos sobre os benefícios de separar os resíduos e descartar corretamente. “Nosso objetivo é transformar a gestão de resíduos em uma prioridade, promovendo uma cidade mais limpa, saudável e sustentável, garantindo o bem-estar das futuras gerações”, afirmou.
A iniciativa também contempla ações de Educação Ambiental nas Escolas, incentivo para a abertura de empreendimentos e parcerias com empresas de reciclagem, além de investimentos em infraestrutura para a coleta e destinação adequada do lixo. Com esse esforço conjunto, destaca o prefeito, espera-se não apenas erradicar o lixão, mas também criar uma cultura de responsabilidade ambiental que perdure na sociedade.
O compromisso firmado reforça o compromisso da gestão municipal com a sustentabilidade e a qualidade de vida, demonstrando que o desenvolvimento econômico deve caminhar lado a lado com a preservação do meio ambiente. A expectativa é que, com essas ações, Bom Jesus da Lapa se torne um exemplo regional de cidade consciente e comprometida com o futuro sustentável.
AO JS, o prefeito Eures Ribeiro (PSD) sublinhou a relevância do compromisso firmado com o Ministério Público no que diz respeito à erradicação do lixão e à promoção de iniciativas voltadas para a implementação da coleta seletiva. “Essa ação visa não apenas a preservação do meio ambiente, mas também a conscientização da população sobre a importância da reciclagem e do manejo adequado dos resíduos”, destacou, acrescentando que ao convocar a coletividade a participar desse processo, “estaremos garantindo um futuro sustentável para a cidade”, concluiu.
