O Ilé Àse Ojú Oórùn e Unzo de Nkisé Oyá Oba Ife – Terreiros de Candomblé da Associação do Culto Afro-Brasileiro – de Caetité, com apoio cultural da Prefeitura Municipal de Caetité, através da Secretaria Municipal de Cultura, Esporte, Lazer e Turismo, e apoio do Grupo de Capoeira Nossa Cultura, Grupo de Afoxé Deyn Alagbede e Conselho Municipal da Promoção da Igualdade Racial de Caetité, vai realizar amanhã (21), evento em comemoração ao Dia Nacional das Tradições das Raízes de Matrizes Africanas e Nações do Candomblé. O I Sìrè na Praça, celebração de fé, cultura e resistência, acontecerá entre as 17hs e 21hs, com concentração na Praça da Árvore, caminhada pela Avenida Barão de Caetité e palco na Praça da Catedral.
O evento tem como objetivos salvaguardar as tradições de raiz africana na cidade, dar visibilidade às diversas manifestações e reverenciar a ancestralidade do povo negro.
Na programação, que vai contar com a participação de representantes de religiões de matriz africana no município, além de autoridades e representantes de segmentos culturais, apresentações de Roda de Capoeira e Grupo de Afoxé; Sìré na Praça – Celebração cantada nas nações de Kétu e Angola, Caminho à Èsu; ìré de Ògún a Òsàlà e saudação aos Encantados (Caboclos e Povo da Rua). Pronunciamentos de lideranças políticas, culturais e religiosas vão encerrar a programação.
Dia Nacional das Tradições das Raízes de Matrizes Africanas e Nações do Candomblé
A Lei Federal 14.519/23, que institui o Dia Nacional das Tradições das Raízes de Matrizes Africanas e Nações do Candomblé, comemorado anualmente no dia 21 de março, foi sancionada em 6 de janeiro de 2023. A data coincide com o marco escolhido pela Organização das Nações Unidas (ONU) para, anualmente, instalar uma rede intercontinental de conscientização pelo Dia Internacional contra a Discriminação Racial. A data foi escolhida pela ONU em 1966, em memória das 69 vítimas do massacre de Sharpeville, Bairro negro da África do Sul.
O objetivo da comemoração é dar visibilidade para as tradições de matriz africana, incentivando a população a participar da contra a discriminação racial e religiosa, fortalecendo o e a valorização das tradições e culturas de matriz africana, combatendo a desinformação e o preconceito.
Histórico
O Candomblé surgiu no continente africano, na região onde hoje se situa a República Federal da Nigéria, e acompanhou as inúmeras levas de escravizados que aportaram o solo brasileiro no século XVI. Proibida e discriminada por séculos, com seus praticantes tendo sofrido prisões e perseguições, a religião fez uso do sincretismo como forma de legitimação, associando os Orixás aos Santos Católicos. Cada um dos Orixás possui características e preferências específicas, como danças, comidas, cores, instrumentos e saudações. Os rituais são vivenciados em locais conhecidos como Terreiros, Casas ou Roças. A liderança de cada um dos locais pode ser matriarcal, com a figura das Ialorixás (ou Mães de Santo), ou patriarcal, onde exercem a liderança os Babalorixás (ou Pais de Santo). Há ainda os locais de prática que admitem liderança mista.
