Mario Quintana, o POETA PASSARINHO, faz aniversário no dia 30 de julho e completaria, se vivo fosse, 119 anos. Mas ele não continua vivo, na sua prosa e na sua poesia, obra imortal que o conservará para sempre em nossos corações, em nossa memória?
Então há que se comemorar, como deixar passar em branco o aniversário do grande poeta? Não só comemorar com grande programação para lembrar o nosso poeta passarinho, como Porto Alegre faz todo o ano, mas ler Quintana, publicar Quintana, declamar Quintana, falar da grande figura humana que ele foi, falar da grande obra que ele deixou, que o torna imortal para todos nós.
No dia 30 de julho de 1906, nascia Mario Quintana, em Alegrete, no Rio Grande do Sul, para encher o mundo de poesia, para trazer poesia a todos nós, para ser o ícone da poesia brasileira como ele o foi e continuará sendo, para sempre.
Quintana foi o poeta que difundiu a poesia, publicando-a em jornais, tornando-a conhecida e apreciada. Foram os versos do nosso imortal poeta que aumentaram exponencialmente o número de leitores de poesia de meados do século passado para cá. Com todo o talento que Deus lhe deu, ele tornou a sua poesia conhecida em todo o Brasil e até pelo mundo.
Então, no aniversário do poeta, nosso tributo e o agradecimento pela sua obra, pela sua sensibilidade e humanidade, por nos fazer descobrir que gostamos de poesia. Parabéns, poeta. Os arco-íris, o sol, a chuva, as estrelas ainda nos trazem seus versos, pedaços dos poemas que continua produzindo e que joga para nós lá do andar de cima, céu abaixo, em ondas de ternura e sensibilidade, onde continua escrevendo sentimentos e emoções com Coralina, com Drummond, com Pessoa…
Parabéns a você, nosso poeta menino, nosso poeta passarinho. Todo o nosso carinho a você. Pediremos a Cora Coralina que lhe dê um beijo e um abraço por nós. Amamos você, a sua poesia, a sua alma, menino Quintana.
