Quase dois anos depois de concluídas as obras e dezoito meses do início das atividades, com a transferência para a Unidade dos alunos do Colégio Estadual de Brumado e do Colégio Estadual Getúlio Vargas, o governador Jerônimo Rodrigues Souza (PT), que cumpriu agenda no município participando das festividades em comemoração ao 148º aniversário de emancipação política e administrativa, fez a entrega oficial do Colégio Estadual em Tempo Integral de Brumado.
O Governo do Estado, através da Secretaria de Estado de Educação da Bahia, investiu na construção física da Unidade, que conta em sua estrutura com 24 salas de aula, 31 banheiros, três Laboratórios, três Salas Multifuncionais, Biblioteca, Teatro para 200 lugares, Restaurante Estudantil, Campo de Futebol Society com Pista de Atletismo, Piscina Semiolímpica , Ginásio Poliesportivo Coberto (que foi requalificado) e Usina Solar Fotovoltaica, e na aquisição de mobiliários e equipamentos, cerca de R$ 31,7 milhões. Todos os ambientes da Unidade Escolar são climatizados, garantindo mais conforto para professores, servidores e estudantes.
Acompanhou o governador no ato de entrega oficial da Unidade Escolar o Assessor Especial do Gabinete da Secretaria de Estado da Educação da Bahia, Manoel Vicente da Silva Calazans, que representou a titular da pasta, Rowenna dos Santos Brito, que enfatizou a importância do equipamento voltado à Educação em Tempo Integral, projetado para enriquecer a aprendizagem e promover o desenvolvimento nas áreas de arte, cultura e lazer, assegurando um futuro melhor para os jovens brumadenses.
O governador destacou que o Colégio Estadual em Tempo Integral de Brumado é fruto da determinação e do compromisso do Governo do Estado com a qualidade da Educação e foi projetado para proporcionar oportunidades, inclusão e dignidade para os jovens de Brumado. “Aqui, eles encontrarão não apenas conhecimento, mas também Cultura, Esporte, Alimentação de qualidade e um ambiente seguro para se desenvolverem como cidadãos plenos”, reforçou Jerônimo Rodrigues.
Também presentes ao ato de entrega da Unidade Escolar, a secretaria de Estado da Saúde da Bahia, Roberta Silva de Carvalho Santana; o prefeito e a primeira-dama de Brumado, Fabrício Abrantes Pires de Souza Oliveira e Abiara Lima Dias; o Diretor do Núcleo Terfritorial de educação do Sertão Produtivo, Ramon Dutra Lobo; o ex-prefeito Edmundo Pereira Santos e o deputado federal Waldenor Alves Pereira Filho (PT/BA), entre outras autoridades e lideranças políticas.
