Márcio Faria dos Santos, conhecido como “Carioca”, foi detido no sábado, 24, em Santo André, no ABC Paulista. Ele é considerado um dos líderes de uma facção criminosa que atua em Vitória da Conquista e sua macrorregião, vinculado ao PCC (Primeiro Comando da Capital). Juntamente com Jessiane Teixeira, conhecida como “Dona Maria”, a maior traficante de drogas e armas do Sudoeste da Bahia, que foi presa em 2019 em São Paulo, ele está sob investigação por suas atividades criminosas.
“Carioca” estava foragido da Justiça da Bahia e sua captura foi possível graças a ações de inteligência implementadas pela Secretaria de Estado da Segurança Pública da Bahia, que têrm sido desenvolvidas com o intuito de localizar criminosos baianos que fazem parte de organizações ligadas ao tráfico de drogas, posse ilegal e tráfico de armas, roubos, assaltos e homicídios, ocultação de cadáver e corrupção de menores, escondidos em Estados do Sudeste.
De acordo com a Secretaria de Estado da Segurança Pública da Bahia, Márcio Faria dos Santos possuía dois Mandados de Prisão em aberto.
As investigações que culminaram em sua prisão revelaram sua atuação direta no envio de drogas e armas para o interior da Bahia, além de envolvimento em homicídios, ocultação de cadáveres, roubos, assaltos, corrupção de menores e lavagem de dinheiro.
A operação que levou à prisão do traficante contou com a colaboração de Policiais das Forças Integradas de Combate ao Crime Organizado (Ficco’s) da Bahia e de São Paulo, da Polícia Civil da Bahia (Departamento de Homicídios e Proteção à Pessoa), além do apoio da Superintendência de Inteligência da Secretaria de Estado da Segurança Pública da Bahia e do Centro Integrado de Inteligência de Segurança Pública da Secretaria de Estado dos Negócios da Segurança Pública de São Paulo. Também participaram da ação Policiais Civis e Militares das regiões envolvidas.
Até o momento, a Secretaria de Estado da Segurança Pública da Bahia não divulgou informações sobre a Unidade Prisional em que o criminoso está detido, nem quando e como será feita sua transferência para o Estado.
