POR JOANA D’ARCK CUNHA SANTOS – COMUNICAÇÃO WZ
O fundador do Projeto Filantrópico “Voluntários do Sertão”, Doreedson Pereira, mais conhecido como Dorinho será condecorado com a Medalha 2 de Julho, a mais alta honraria da Assembleia Legislativa da Bahia (Alba) na próxima quinta-feira (15/05), às 15 horas. A homenagem de autoria do deputado estadual Zé Raimundo (PT), através de Projeto de Resolução aprovado pelo Legislativo baiano no final do ano passado, será realizada em sessão solene, no Plenário Orlando Spínola.
Na sessão solene, que deverá contar com autoridades baianas, membros do Projeto “Voluntário do Sertão” e conterrâneos de Dorinho, entre outros convidados, haverá também apresentação do maestro João Omar, do cantor Elton Becker, e da violoncelista Gabriela Mello, que vão abrilhantar a homenagem .
Dorinho é baiano nascido em Condeúba e se destacou no interior de São Paulo, em Ribeirão Preto, onde foi em busca de oportunidades para a construção de um futuro melhor para si e para sua família. Consolidou-se como empresário na área de Serviços de Saúde, em 2000, e depois reuniu amigos e montou a primeira edição do Voluntários do Sertão, doando brinquedos e cestas básicas aos habitantes de sua cidade natal.
A cada ano a ação cresceu um pouco mais. A partir de 2006, o Projeto passou a oferecer atendimentos médicos e odontológicos, além de pequenas cirurgias, palestras e distribuição de kits de saúde e higiene pessoal em diferentes cidades do sertão, tomando proporções ainda maiores.
Com sede em Ribeirão Preto (São Paulo), atualmente o Projeto, que também tem a parceria de várias empresas, conta com voluntários de todo o território nacional e até mesmo de países vizinhos, em diversas áreas, como médicos, enfermeiros, farmacêuticos, psicólogos, dentistas, pilotos, cozinheiros, motoristas, auxiliares administrativos, entre outros.
