A jornalista Maria das Dores Marques dos Santos é a nova secretária municipal de Comunicação Social da Prefeitura Municipal de Vitória da Conquista em ato presido pelo prefeito Hérzem Gusmão Pereira (MDB), no auditório da Rede de Atenção à Criança e Adolescente, que contou com a presença de membros do primeiro escalão do Governo Municipal, vereadores e representantes de segmentos organizados da sociedade civil.
O prefeito revelou que desde o início do mandato a intenção era contar com a participação da jornalista Maria Marques na titularidade da Secretaria Municipal de Comunicação Social, mas admitiu que “tudo tem um tempo certo”. Pereira destacou a capacidade profissional da nova titular da Comunicação Social do Governo Municipal, apontando que “(Maria Marques) é uma profissional competente, séria, talentosa, com uma bagagem extraordinária”.
Em seu pronunciamento, a jornalista Maria Marques pontuou sua disposição de cuidar da imagem do Governo Municipal que, ressaltou, “caminha no seu melhor momento”.
Graduada e Mestranda em Comunicação Social/Jornalismo pela Faculdade de Ciências Sociais da Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro; Doutora em Ciências da Comunicação pela Universidade Nova de Lisboa, de Portugal; Maria Marques é ex-consultora da Organização das Nações Unidas para a Educação, a Ciência e a Cultura (Unesco); Professora-Auxiliar de Telejornalismo do Curso de Jornalismo da Universidade Estadual do Sudoeste da Bahia – onde também ocupou a chefia do Setor de Comunicação Social; ex-chefe do Setor de Comunicação Social do Instituto Nacional do Câncer/RJ e ex-secretária e coordenadora da Secretaria de Comunicação Social da Prefeitura de Vitória da Conquista, entre outras atividades desenvolvidas profissionalmente.
