O Programa Minha Casa, Minha Vida deve passar por uma extensão das faixas atendidas. Além do objetivo de atingir famílias de classe média, com renda mensal de até R$ 12 mil, 3% de novas unidades habitacionais devem ser destinadas a pessoas em situação de rua ou com trajetória de rua.
Vale destacar que a linha de financiamento para a classe média prevê condições facilitadas de crédito. Os prazos de pagamento podem chegar a 420 meses, com juros nominais de 10% ao ano. A medida prevê aquisição de imóveis de até R$ 500 mil. A projeção é de que, este ano, 120 mil famílias sejam beneficiadas.
Em entrevista ao programa Bom Dia, Ministro, da Empresa Brasil de Comunicação (EBC), o ministro das Cidades, Jader Filho, afirmou que o programa deve trabalhar com a meta de chegar a quase 3 milhões de unidades habitacionais.
Em relação às residências destinadas às pessoas em situação de rua, a ideia é que elas sejam subsidiadas pelo Fundo de Arrendamento Residencial (FAR), com 100% das unidades financiadas com recursos públicos.
A iniciativa vai dar prioridade à população de 38 municípios, incluindo todas as capitais brasileiras e cidades com mais de 100 mil pessoas cadastradas como sem moradia, de acordo com dados do CadÚnico.
