Expedição ofereceu consultas, medicamentos e ações de Educação em Saúde à população local
POR GISELE ALMEIDA – ASCOM/AGÊNCIA COMUNIC.ATIVA
Garantir atendimento médico a pessoas em situação de extrema vulnerabilidade, experiências práticas, além do desenvolvimento de competências técnicas, comunicacionais e humanísticas. Esses foram os principais objetivos da 2ª Edição da Missão Jequitinhonha, iniciativa que levou estudantes de Medicina do Centro Universitário UniFG para prestarem serviços e ações de Educação em Saúde aos moradores dos municípios de Chapada do Norte e Angelândia.
Entre os 6 e 13 de abril, os alunos das Unidades de Brumado e Guanambi contribuíram para a realização de atendimentos clínicos e diagnósticos precoces de doenças frequentemente negligenciadas na região de Minas Gerais, em razão do limitado acesso aos cuidados oferecidos pelos profissionais da Saúde. Os missionários também fizeram o encaminhamento de casos graves para Atenção Especializada.
“A relevância dessa vivência transcende os muros da Universidade. O impacto da missão se estende muito além da sala de aula, alcançando comunidades que historicamente têm sido privadas de um direito fundamental: o acesso digno à Saúde. Ao levar Atendimento Médico, Educação em Saúde e Acolhimento Humanizado, os estudantes tornam-se protagonistas de uma Medicina transformadora, que enxerga o outro não apenas como paciente, mas como sujeito de direitos”, afirma Irineu Viana, Coordenador do curso de Medicina da UniFG Brumado.
Com o objetivo de auxiliar na melhora da qualidade de vida da população local, os integrantes da missão ainda ofereceram orientações sobre hábitos de vida saudáveis, como Alimentação, Higiene, prática regular de Atividade Física, prevenção de Infecções Sexualmente Transmissíveis, Saúde da Mulher, combate ao tabagismo e consumo excessivo de bebidas alcoólicas.
Para Juan Pierra, Coordenador Médico e professor do curso de Medicina da UniFG Guanambi, a chegada do time de voluntários possibilitou uma atuação diferenciada, amparada pelo acolhimento e vontade de ajudar. “O contato com populações carentes, muitas vezes esquecidas, muda completamente o olhar dos estudantes de Medicina. Além de despertar reflexões sobre ética, os atendimentos em condições simples e distantes da realidade hospitalar ainda fortalecem a confiança nos conhecimentos adquiridos ao longo das aulas, em Laboratórios de Simulação e nas Consultas Ambulatoriais”, destaca.
Vivências acadêmicas e pessoais
De acordo com a Inspirali, principal Ecossistema de Educação Médica do país e idealizadora da expedição, 36 alunos, 6 professores e um egresso das suas 14 Escolas partiram para a jornada. Entre eles está Lara Taline Ferro, estudante do 9º semestre do curso de Medicina da UniFG Guanambi.
“Viver essa missão foi uma das experiências mais transformadoras. No olhar de cada paciente, no esforço de cada colega, nas histórias trocadas no silêncio de um gesto, encontrei um propósito que palavras mal conseguem traduzir. Também me ensinou a enxergar o ser humano por trás da dor, a história por trás do sintoma. Desde então, entendi que, mais do que técnicas e diagnósticos, o cuidado é uma forma de cura e a beleza da Medicina está justamente no amor que colocamos no que fazemos”, relata.
Mylka Andrade, outra missionária e aluna do 7º semestre do curso de Medicina da UniFG Brumado, conta que os dias no Vale do Jequitinhonha foram marcados por desafios, aprendizados e, acima de tudo, por um profundo senso de propósito coletivo. “Cada local visitado deixou uma marca única em nossa trajetória. O carinho, os sorrisos e a confiança depositada em nós foram combustíveis para seguir em frente, mesmo diante do cansaço ou das dificuldades. A missão não foi apenas uma ação voluntária, mas o encontro de pessoas movidas pela empatia e vontade de fazer a diferença. Saímos mais conscientes, humanos e gratos”, ressalta.
A 2ª Missão Jequitinhonha é a 18ª expedição promovida pela Inspirali. Em sua primeira edição, passou por quatro cidades na região e atendeu mais de 825 pacientes, incluindo crianças e idosos. Diversos atendimentos clínicos foram realizados, sendo Dores Osteoarticulares e Hipertensão os problemas mais registrados.
