Em um momento em que a segurança sanitária é parte cada vez mais relevante na vida em sociedade, a desinformação sobre misturas caseiras de produtos de limpeza pode ser fatal. Dados da ANVISA – Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária mostram que, em 2021, mais de 91 mil casos de intoxicação por produtos sujeitos à vigilância sanitária foram registrados no Brasil, sendo uma parcela causada pelo uso inadequado e a mistura de produtos de limpeza. Por isso, a ABIPLA – Associação Brasileira das Indústrias de Produtos de Higiene, Limpeza e Saneantes e o CFQ – Conselho Federal de Química reforçam o alerta: misturar produtos de limpeza sem conhecimento técnico pode resultar na formação de gases tóxicos, queimaduras químicas, lesões oculares e até óbitos.
O mito das receitas caseiras
A popularização de “fórmulas milagrosas” nas redes sociais e até em algumas reportagens ignora um fator essencial: produtos de limpeza industrializados passam por rigorosos testes de segurança e eficácia antes de chegarem ao mercado. Ao contrário das soluções improvisadas, saneantes regulamentados pela ANVISA são mais eficientes, seguros e confiáveis, contendo informações sobre diluição segura e modo de uso adequado, além de contato em caso de emergência.
“A manipulação de produtos químicos não pode ser banalizada. São substâncias que, quando combinadas de forma errada, podem desencadear reações perigosas, colocando em risco a saúde da população”, alerta Paulo Engler, diretor-executivo da ABIPLA.
Principais riscos das misturas caseiras
• Gases tóxicos: a mistura de água sanitária com vinagre, por exemplo, pode gerar gases tóxicos, que ocasionam danos severos às vias respiratórias e aos pulmões.
• Queimaduras químicas: a reação entre amônia e alvejantes pode resultar em substâncias altamente corrosivas para a pele e os olhos.
• Ineficácia na limpeza: soluções caseiras podem não eliminar vírus, bactérias e fungos corretamente, comprometendo a higiene dos ambientes.
Como evitar intoxicações?
1. Nunca misture produtos de limpeza – siga sempre as instruções do rótulo.
2. Mantenha os produtos longe do alcance de crianças e animais.
3. Use equipamentos de proteção, como luvas, ao manusear saneantes.
4. Em caso de acidente, procure imediatamente um serviço médico ou entre em contato com o Centro de Informação e Assistência Toxicológica (CIATox) pelo telefone 0800-722-6001.
