Em um vídeo divulgado nas redes sociais na quarta-feira (16), o prefeito de Santana, José Raul – Ze Raul – Alkmin Leão (MDB), manifestou-se após o chocante feminicídio ocorrido na cidade no último domingo (13). Iane de Jesus Branco, de 26 anos, foi assassinada de forma brutal na frente de seu filho de quatro anos, dentro de sua residência no Bairro Alto Santana.
Visivelmente emocionado e indignado, o prefeito, que decretou luto oficial de três dias em homenagem à vítima, pediu a colaboração da comunidade na luta contra a violência de gênero. “Este caso deve marcar um momento de reflexão e de reafirmação do respeito às mulheres de Santana. Aqui, não há espaço para agressões”, declarou, enfatizando que a responsabilidade de combater esses crimes é de todos. “Não cabe apenas à vítima denunciar. Se você souber que uma vizinha está sendo agredida, denuncie, mesmo que de forma anônima. Não permita que ela chegue a um desfecho trágico como o que vivemos no domingo”, alertou.
As palavras do prefeito ressaltam a importância da mobilização social no enfrentamento à violência doméstica, promovendo uma cultura de respeito, empatia e a prática da denúncia diante de qualquer situação de abuso.
Ao final, o emedebista José Raul – Ze Raul – Alkmin Leão anunciou que o suspeito do crime, companheiro da vítima, foi preso na madrugada de quarta-feira (16) e encontra-se à disposição da Justiça.
O caso está sob investigação da Delegacia Territorial de Polícia Civil de Santana.
