Na terça-feira (24), véspera do Natal, a Prefeitura Municipal de Bom Jesus da Lapa, através da Secretaria Municipal de Assistência Social, promoveu uma ação solidária voltada para famílias em situação de vulnerabilidade social. Mais de seis mil cestas básicas foram entregues em Bairros da periferia, garantindo alimento e dignidade para milhares de moradores durante as festividades.
O prefeito Eures Ribeiro Pereira (PSD) participou pessoalmente da distribuição, acompanhado por equipes da Secretaria Municipal de Assistência Social. Segundo ele, a iniciativa reforça o compromisso da gestão com políticas de inclusão e assistência social, especialmente em comunidades que enfrentam dificuldades econômicas.
Moradores beneficiados ressaltaram a importância da medida, que trouxe alívio em um período marcado por celebrações familiares. Para muitos, a cesta básica significou a possibilidade de preparar uma ceia e compartilhar momentos de esperança.
Durante a entrega, o prefeito destacou o simbolismo da data e a relevância da ação para a população. Eures Pereira lembrou que o Natal representa o nascimento e a presença de Cristo na vida das pessoas, transmitindo paz, alegria, esperança e saúde. Mais do que isso, salientou o gestor, é a oportunidade de levar um pouco de felicidade para dentro das casas das famílias. “Sabemos que o valor dessas cestas faz diferença para quem luta diariamente e ajuda a tornar este dia ainda mais especial”, afirmou.
