A Prefeitura de Bom Jesus da Lapa assumiu oficialmente a área onde funcionava a sede da Sudene (Superintendência de Desenvolvimento do Nordeste), desativada há mais de 25 anos. O espaço, que estava em situação de abandono, será transformado em equipamentos públicos voltados para atender às demandas da população.
No último dia 6, o prefeito Eures Ribeiro Pereira (PSD), acompanhado por secretários e membros do primeiro escalão do Governo Municipal, participou do início das obras de demolição do prédio antigo e da limpeza do terreno. De acordo com o gestor, no local será construída uma Unidade Básica de Saúde (UBS) de grande porte, destinada a ampliar a oferta de serviços de Saúde e garantir maior acesso à população, especialmente aos moradores dos Bairros Maravilha I e Maravilha II.
O projeto também prevê a construção de uma nova Praça pública, que oferecerá opções de lazer e convivência, contribuindo para o bem-estar dos lapenses e para a valorização urbanística da cidade.
Segundo o prefeito, a recuperação de áreas públicas abandonadas representa mais do que obras de infraestrutura, faz parte da agenda política da Administração Municipal de devolução à comunidade de espaços que estavam esquecidos, revitalizando-os e transformando-os em locais de utilidade social, fortalecendo a infraestrutura urbana e ampliando os serviços oferecidos à população.
