A Educação Infantil de Brumado ganhou um importante reforço na promoção de práticas antirracistas. A Professora, Mestra e Pesquisadora Valdirene Aragão Rocha lançou, no último dia 10, no auditório do Centro Municipal de Educação de Tempo Integral Agamenon Santana, uma obra inédita voltada à aplicação de práticas pedagógicas antirracistas no cotidiano de Creches e Pré-Escolas.
O livro é resultado da pesquisa desenvolvida pela autora no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ensino, Linguagem e Sociedade da Universidade do Estado da Bahia (Uneb), Campus de Caetité, O estudo foi realizado na Escola Municipal em Tempo Integral Professor Américo Zizico Nascimento, no Distrito de Umburanas, e analisa experiências e estratégias antirracistas aplicadas à Educação Infantil.
Intitulada “Afropedagogia: infantil para educadores”, a obra reúne metodologias, relatos e reflexões sobre como promover a valorização da diversidade desde os primeiros anos escolares. O conteúdo foi construído com a colaboração das professoras Carina Ramos de Carvalho e Luciene Ribeiro Moreira, da Rede Municipal de Ensino de Brumado, e Nelcileide Ângelo Dias, da Rede Municipal de Ensino de Aracatu, que contribuíram com experiências práticas vivenciadas em sala de aula. O livro é dividido em três seções: Contos Infantis Negros; Brincadeiras, Músicas e Culinária; e Identidade, Mídia e África.
A autora destaca a infância como fase essencial para a formação de valores e atitudes, reforçando a importância de que a Escola seja um espaço de respeito, representatividade e enfrentamento às desigualdades.
O apoio da Prefeitura Municipal de Brumado ao Projeto – que inclusive será adotado oficialmente nas Creches e Escolas da Rede Municipal de Ensino a partir de 2026 ocorre em meio ao fortalecimento do debate sobre a implementação da Lei Federal 10.639/2003, que tornou obrigatório o Ensino de História e Cultura Afro-Brasileira. A iniciativa também integra a proposta da Secretaria Municipal de Educação de ampliar a presença de conteúdos relacionados à população negra no currículo escolar e combater estereótipos raciais.
Ao JS, a secretária municipal de Educação, Ana Cristina dos Santos, afirmou que o incentivo ao Projeto integra a política de valorização da Educação Inclusiva do Governo Municipal. Ela reafirmou o compromisso da gestão com as Leis Federais 10.639/2003 e 11.645/2008, que ampliam o Ensino da História e Cultura Afro-Brasileira, Africana e Indígena nas Escolas Públicas e Privadas. “Para além da Lei, também sou uma mulher preta, e minha área de estudo envolve as relações étnico-raciais”, destacou.
A secretária ressaltou ainda que investir em práticas antirracistas significa promover uma sociedade mais justa. “Queremos que nossas crianças cresçam em ambientes que celebrem a diversidade e combatam qualquer forma de discriminação”, afirmou.
A secretária Ana Cristina avaliou que a obra de Valdirene Aragão Rocha representa um marco para a Educação Infantil da região, por articular pesquisa acadêmica, prática pedagógica e políticas públicas. “Mais do que um livro, trata-se de um instrumento de transformação social, que busca garantir que o respeito às diferenças seja cultivado desde cedo”, concluiu.
