Em ato presidido pelo Fabricio Abrantes Pires de Souza Oliveira (Avante) e pela secretária municipal de Educação, Ana Cristina dos Santos Silva, realizada na noite da sexta-feira (16), a Prefeitura Municipal de Brumado inaugurou uma nova Unidade Municipal de Educação Infantil e uma Praça de Alimentação anexas à Escola Municipal de Tempo Integral Professora Sheila Barreto Spinola Costa, na sede municipal, reforçando o compromisso com a oferta de Ensino de qualidade e o apoio às famílias em situação de vulnerabilidade social.
O ato inaugural contou com a presença de membros do primeiro escalão do Governo Municipal, profissionais da Educação Municipal, alunos e pais, representantes de entidades da sociedade civil organizada e familiares dos homenageados.
O espaço da Unidade Municipal de Educação Infantil – Creche Professora Maria Sônia Pereira de Oliveira foi projetado para atender 194 crianças em idade inicial, oferecendo estrutura adequada, ambientes seguros e recursos pedagógicos voltados ao desenvolvimento integral.
Já a Praça de Alimentação Ícaro Gabriel da Silva foi pensada para garantir refeições balanceadas e saudáveis, em um ambiente moderno e confortável para tornar o momento da alimentação dos estudantes mais agradável que os incentive a permanecer no espaço, contribuindo para a socialização e para que possam dar uma pausa saudável em meio à rotina intensa de atividades. O novo espaço, além de beneficiar os estudantes da Escola Municipal de Tempo Integral Professora Sheila Barreto Spinola Costa/Unidade de Educação Infantil – Creche Professora Maria Sônia Pereira de Oliveira, amplia o suporte às famílias que dependem da Escola como espaço de acolhimento e formação.
Para o prefeito Fabrício Abrantes Pires de Souza Oliveira (Avante), os investimentos fazem parte de um conjunto de ações voltadas à valorização da Educação e ao fortalecimento da rede de apoio social, um dos compromissos prioritários assumidos na campanha eleitoral de 2024. Segundo o prefeito, o objetivo da Administração Municipal é assegurar que cada criança tenha acesso a oportunidades iguais de aprendizado e que as famílias possam contar com o suporte necessário para enfrentar as dificuldades do dia a dia.
Fabrício Abrantes ressaltou que a Administração Municipal tem tratado a Educação como prioridade estratégica. Segundo ele, o investimento no setor não se limita a discursos de palanque, mas se concretiza como instrumento de transformação social, capaz de estreitar a relação entre Escola, comunidade e poder público.
A secretária municipal de Educação, Ana Cristina dos Santos Silva, ressaltou, na oportunidade, que a iniciativa da Administração Municipal contribui não apenas para aumentar o número de vagas na rede pública municipal de Ensino, mas, ao ampliar e melhorar a infraestrutura escolar, criar um ambiente mais inclusivo e acolhedor. A nova Creche Municipal, na avaliação da secretária, representa um avanço significativo na política educacional e social do município, garantindo acolhimento e oportunidades de desenvolvimento para crianças em idade inicial, em um espaço seguro, estruturado e preparado para estimular o aprendizado e a convivência, além de também fortalecer o apoio às famílias em situação de vulnerabilidade, especificamente às mães que precisam trabalhar e contar com um ambiente adequado para seus filhos.
Já sobre a nova Praça de Alimentação, a secretária Ana Cristina dos Santos Silva, destacou que tão importante quanto a oferta de alimentação adequada é o espaço na qual é oferecida aos estudantes, também fundamental para reduzir desigualdades e promover o desenvolvimento pleno dos alunos.
Presente à solenidade de inauguração na nova Unidade Municipal de Educação Infantil – Creche Professora Maria Sônia Pereira de Oliveira e da Praça de Alimentação Ícaro Gabriel da Silva, anexas à Escola Municipal de Tempo Integral Professora Sheila Barreto Spinola Costa, a primeira-dama e presidente do Conselho Municipal da Mulher de Brumado, advogada Abiara Meira Dias, destacou a importância da iniciativa para o município. Segundo ela, os novos equipamentos representam não apenas investimentos em infraestrutura, mas também em dignidade e oportunidades para crianças e famílias em situação de vulnerabilidade. Para ela, ao investir em espaços que acolhe, educa e alimenta, a Administração Municipal faz mais um gesto concreto em favor da igualdade e da justiça social.
Segundo a primeira-dama, considerando que a Escola é mais do que um espaço de aprendizado; é também um ponto de apoio para a comunidade, a nova Creche Municipal e Praça de Alimentação representam mais segurança e qualidade de vida às famílias.
Pais de alunos que acompanharam as inaugurações, destacaram os novos espaços como um avanço significativo na política educacional do município, ressaltando o impacto direto na qualidade do Ensino e no apoio às famílias.

A inauguração da nova Unidade Municipal de Educação Infantil e Praça de Alimentação da Escola Municipal de Tempo Integral Professora Sheila Barreto Spinola Costa foi marcada por emoção e reconhecimento. Já o estudante Ícaro Gabriel da Silva, ex-aluno da Escola, que faleceu aos 12 anos em decorrência de Leucemia, deixou como legado uma trajetória, embora breve, marcada pela participação ativa nas atividades escolares e pelo exemplo de superação diante das dificuldades, tornando-se referência de protagonismo juvenil e inspiração de esperança para o futuro.
Ao escolher a Maria Sônia Pereira de Oliveira e o estudante Ícaro Gabriel da Silva para denominar os novos espaços, a Administração do prefeito Fabrício Abrantes Pires de Souza Oliveira (Avante) não apenas investiu na ampliação da estrutura da Escola Municipal de Tempo Integral Professora Sheila Barreto Spinola Costa, mas também no fortalecimento do vínculo entre comunidade e poder público. Como definiu uma educadora presente ao evento, as homenagens são uma forma de eternizar quem fez diferença na vida da comunidade escolar, mostrando às novas gerações que a Educação é construída por pessoas reais, com histórias que merecem e devem ser lembradas.
