O Comitê de Energias Renováveis da Federação das Indústrias do Estado da Bahia (FIEB) promoveu, nesta quinta-feira (6), uma reunião que contou com representantes de mais de 20 empresas do setor, além do presidente da CNI, Ricardo Alban, e o presidente da FIEB, Carlos Henrique Passos, para discutir os principais desafios enfrentados em nível nacional pelos empreendimentos de energias renováveis e estratégias de atração de novos investidores.
Entre os principais pontos apresentados estão a necessidade de desenvolver soluções para lidar com a variabilidade da geração de energia e garantir a estabilidade do fornecimento, a escassez e saturação das linhas de transmissão, a necessidade de investimentos para atender à crescente demanda pelo recurso e a importância de um ambiente regulatório estável que garanta, não só a implantação, como a sustentabilidade dos empreendimentos.
Rafael Valverde, diretor executivo da Sowitec, destacou que as mudanças climáticas estão afetando o consumo, a demanda e os custos da energia, pois as ondas de calor extremo e os períodos de seca estão fazendo com que a população utilize mais o recurso, que está ficando mais caro. No entanto, os problemas de conexão e transmissão – 15% das obras de construção de 44 novas linhas estão com atraso de cerca de um ano – impactam diretamente na resolução dessas questões. “Esta situação afeta, por exemplo, a implantação das plantas de hidrogênio que estão sendo construídas. Sem transmissão, elas não poderão funcionar e, como consequência, a opção é muitas vezes utilizar outras fontes de energia, não necessariamente renováveis, a exemplo da termelétrica. Os problemas também vão acabar afetando o custo da energia para a indústria, que vai subir”, apontou.
“Hoje, de fato, o problema não está tanto na geração, está sobrando energia, mas temos a questão da utilização das fontes de energia intermitente, do aproveitamento e garantia de transmissão. Um aproveitamento, por exemplo, poderia ser na implantação de data centers. Com a expansão da IA, o país vai precisar deste investimento”, avaliou Ricardo Alban, presidente da CNI.
Carlos Henrique Passos, presidente da FIEB, ressaltou a importância de buscar soluções até para que a Bahia possa se posicionar como protagonista na transição energética, aproveitando seu potencial. Em âmbito estadual, o superintendente da Superintendência de Atração de Investimentos da Secretaria de Desenvolvimento Econômico-SDE, Luciano Giudice, citou a Política e o Programa Estadual de Transição Energética (Protener), de autoria do Poder Executivo e que deve ser sancionada em breve pelo governador Jerônimo Rodrigues. “O governo reconhece que as demandas são grandes, nem todas são possíveis de realizar, mas o tema é discutido diariamente na Secretaria, que trabalhar para fazer o potencial do estado se transformar em realidade”, afirmou.
