Com o objetivo de levar informações de forma clara e acessível sobre os métodos contraceptivos a jovens-adultos de Escolas Públicas, a Uesb criou o Projeto “Educação em métodos contraceptivos: o saber do prevenir”, em Vitória da Conquista. A ideia é contribuir com a prevenção de infecções sexualmente transmissíveis e gestações não planejadas entre esse público, diante da alta taxa de ausência e/ou mau uso de preservativos.
A iniciativa é voltada para o reconhecimento dos tipos e classificações dos métodos contraceptivos, além do uso efetivo para evitar a concepção e a contração de infecções. O p=Projeto propõe um diálogo com esse grupo de estudantes, por meio de rodas de conversa, palestras, jogos educativos e outras atividades lúdicas.
Antes das intervenções, é realizado um mapeamento dos estudantes, com aplicação de questionários e apoio da direção escolar. A partir dessa etapa, o conteúdo das atividades é adaptado à realidade de cada público específico.
A ação vem sendo desenvolvida no Colégio Estadual Abdias Menezes, no Colégio Estadual Professora Heleusa Câmara e no Centro Territorial de Educação Profissional (Cetep), em Vitória da Conquista. Alcançando cerca de 200 adolescentes, o Projeto não leva apenas informação, mas também desperta consciência sobre direitos, planejamento familiar e saúde pública.
A iniciativa é coordenada pela professora Cristiane Pereira, do Departamento de Ciências da Saúde da Uesb. Outras informações podem ser solicitadas pelo e-mail osaberdoprevenirpgext@gmail.com.
