Novo valor está de acordo com limites fixados pelo Congresso Nacional

O Brasil tem desde esta quarta-feira (1º de janeiro) um novo valor de R$ 1.518 para o salário mínimo, o que representa aumento de R$ 106 em relação a 2024 (R$ 1.412). Segundo o governo federal, o novo valor incorpora a reposição de 4,84% da inflação de 12 meses apurada em novembro do ano passado (Índice Nacional de Preços ao Consumidor) e mais 2,5% de ganho real.
O reajuste está de acordo com a nova regra aprovada pelo Congresso Nacional que condiciona a atualização do salário mínimo aos limites definidos pelo novo arcabouço fiscal. Por essa nova norma – válida entre 2025 e 2030 – o salário mínimo terá ganho real de 0,6% a 2,5%.
Segundo o Departamento Intersindical de Estatísticas e Estudos Socioeconômicos (Dieese), pela regra anterior o reajuste deveria ser a reposição da inflação mais 3,2% (variação do Produto Interno Bruto em 2023).
O reajuste menor vai afetar a remuneração de 59 milhões pessoas que têm o rendimento ligado ao valor do salário mínimo, como empregados formais, trabalhadores domésticos, empregadores, trabalhadores por conta própria e beneficiários do Instituto Nacional do Seguro Social (INSS).
Impacto direto
O valor do salário mínimo tem impacto direto em despesas do governo federal como os pagamentos das pessoas aposentadas ou pensionistas, cerca de 19 milhões; de quem tem direito ao Benefício de Prestação Continuada (BPC), mais de 4,7 milhões; dos trabalhadores com carteira dispensados do serviço, cerca de 7,35 milhões que acionaram o seguro-desemprego (dado de julho de 2024); e os trabalhadores que têm direito ao abono salarial (PIS-Pasep), cerca de 240 mil pessoas no ano passado.
A empresa Tendências Consultoria, de São Paulo, estima que a nova política de reajuste de salário mínimo vai gerar R$ 110 bilhões de economia dos gastos públicos até 2030, sendo que R$ 2 bilhões são previstos em 2025.
Entre 2003 e 2017, o salário mínimo teve 77% de ganho real (acima da inflação). Essa política de reajuste ficou interrompida entre 2018 e 2022. O salário mínimo no Brasil foi criado em 1936, durante o governo do ex-presidente Getúlio Vargas.
