A Unidade, localizada na Rua D, no Loteamento Cristo Rei, Bairro Felícia, é responsável por atender toda a demanda Transfusional do Complexo Hospitalar da cidade e de outros 12 municípios da região.
A Assistente Social Eliana Tavares, do Hemocentro, destaca a importância da colaboração da comunidade. “Atendemos Hospitais como o Hospital de Base, a UPA, o Hospital Crescêncio Silveira, Afrânio Peixoto, Esaú Matos e outros da região. A demanda é grande, mas o número de doadores tem sido muito restrito. Por isso, os estoques estão críticos e estamos aqui, mais uma vez, para convocar cada cidadão a nos ajudar nesse momento”, afirma.
“Queremos pedir que todos que possam compareçam para doar. E se você nunca doou, essa é a hora de começar. Doar sangue é um ato de responsabilidade social e pode salvar vidas. Não existe substituto para o sangue”, reforça.
Eliana ressalta que a solidariedade de cada doador pode ser decisiva. “Pedimos que formem grupos, mobilizem amigos, familiares, colegas de trabalho. Cada bolsa de sangue pode salvar até quatro vidas. É esse o impacto que você pode ter com um simples gesto”, conclui.
Para ser um doador, é necessário:
Estar em boas condições de saúde;
Ter entre 16 e 69 anos (menores de 18 anos devem estar acompanhados do responsável legal);
Pesar mais de 50 kg;
Ter dormido pelo menos 6 horas na noite anterior;
Estar alimentado, evitando alimentos gordurosos no dia da doação;
Apresentar um documento oficial com foto (RG, CNH, etc.);
Evitar ir de moto ou bicicleta no dia da doação.
