O programa terá como objetivo ajudar na capacitação de pais, cuidadores, professores, gestores, psicólogos, terapeutas ocupacionais, psicopedagogos, fonoaudiólogos e todos profissionais interessados.
A Semana Entendendo o TDAH é embasado em evidências científicas e tem como princípio a apresentação de conteúdo em consensos internacionais e Guidelines (guias de avaliação de pacientes) de grupos de pesquisa multicêntricos nacionais e internacionais. “A proposta é que tudo seja exposto com didática e numa linguagem fácil, acessível e com aplicabilidade prática”, segundo ele.
Além de explicar sobre a evolução do termo e as peculiaridades do transtorno, será mostrado os índices no país e no mundo. As aulas vão analisar os quadros clínicos e esclarecer tipos de comportamentos heterogêneos característicos desta condição.
Também será falado sobre como são os testes neuropsicológicos e abordagem diagnóstica. Discutirá ainda as implicações e o tratamento na escola e em como lidar com as dificuldades em sala de aula, como, por exemplo, durante a alfabetização, a leitura, a escrita, o ensino da matemática, a coordenação motora, entre outros fatores nos mais diversos contextos.
Para o Dr. Clay, o projeto tem como prioridade compartilhar informações relevantes sobre o assunto. Ele acredita que é preciso que pais e profissionais da área de saúde e médicos tenham mais acesso ao que existe de mais atual nas Neurociências. “Precisamos progredir melhor nas áreas de desenvolvimento e aprendizagem da infância e adolescência”.

Um dos idealizadores da Neuro Saber, Dr. Clay Brites é pesquisador e doutorando do Laboratório de Dificuldades e Distúrbios da Aprendizagem e Transtornos de Atenção (Disapre), da UNICAMP. Além disso, é professor do curso de pós-graduação de Neuropsicologia Aplicada à Neurologia Infantil na Unicamp e membro do Departamento de Neurologia da Sociedade Paranaense de Pediatria.
