A Covid-19 foi a principal causa de óbitos nos casos de Síndrome Respiratória Aguda Grave (SRAG) causada por vírus nas últimas quatro semanas epidemiológicas, entre 31 de agosto e 27 de setembro. A informação consta no boletim InfoGripe, da Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (Fiocruz), divulgado nesta quinta-feira (2).
A análise mostra que, em Goiás e no Distrito Federal, o crescimento dos casos de SRAG continua a ser impulsionado pela infecção do coronavírus, que tem impactado no aumento das hospitalizações especialmente entre os idosos. A gripe do influenza A também tem elevado o número de internações em quase todas as faixas etárias nessas regiões.
Além dos 50,9% dos óbitos por SRAG causados por Sars-CoV-2 (Covid-19), o estudo aponta que, no mesmo recorte temporal, 25,7% dos casos foram por rinovírus; 15,8% por influenza A; 5% por vírus sincicial respiratório (VSR); e 1,8% por influenza B.
A pesquisadora responsável pelo Boletim InfoGripe, Tatiana Portella, ressalta que Goiás, o DF e o Espírito Santo registraram aumento de casos graves de Covid-19 e que algumas unidades federativas do Centro-Oeste (Goiás e DF) estão passando por uma segunda temporada do vírus influenza A, fator atípico para esta época do ano na região.
“A gente pede que as pessoas, especialmente integrantes dos grupos de risco, verifiquem se estão com a vacinação em dia. A vacina continua sendo a principal forma de proteção contra casos graves e óbitos. Nós recomendamos o isolamento em caso de sintomas de gripe ou resfriado ou, se não for possível, que a pessoa saia de casa usando uma boa máscara”, alerta Tatiana.
Ao longo de 2025, já foram registrados 11.161 óbitos de SRAG, sendo 5.798 (51,9%) com resultado laboratorial positivo para algum vírus respiratório, 4.331 (38,8%) negativos e cerca de 188 (1,7%) aguardando resultado laboratorial.
Quanto aos óbitos de SRAG por vírus neste ano epidemiológico, verificou-se 51% por influenza A; 22,4% por Sars-CoV-2 (Covid-19); 13,9% por rinovírus; 11,9% por VSR; e 1,8% por influenza B.
