A Assembleia Legislativa do Estado da Bahia (Alba) aprovou, na última terça-feira (26), por unanimidade, o Projeto de Lei 25.532/2024, de autoria do Governo do Estado, que cria a Bahia Filmes, primeira empresa estadual do audiovisual do país. Este feito consolida o estado como um polo estratégico para o setor audiovisual no Brasil, promovendo o desenvolvimento socioeconômico, artístico, cultural, científico, tecnológico e inovativo da atividade audiovisual no estado. Entre 2015 e 2021, o setor atraiu mais de R$160 milhões para o estado.
O Deputado Estadual José Raimundo Fontes (PT), comemorou a aprovação. “Aprovamos na Assembleia Legislativa a criação da Bahia Filmes, a primeira empresa pública estadual de audiovisual do Brasil. Com essa conquista, damos um passo significativo para estruturar, organizar e potencializar um setor tão importante para a cultura e a economia”.
José Raimundo acrescentou ainda que “ a criação da Bahia Filmes marca um novo momento de desenvolvimento para o audiovisual e para o estado, gerando empregos, renda e fortalecendo uma área estratégica para o crescimento cultural e econômico. Mais uma iniciativa de fomento à cultura que conta com o meu total apoio e trabalho”, afirmou o Deputado.
A lei que agora vai para sanção do governador Jerônimo Rodrigues, possibilitará que a Bahia Filmes, vinculada à Secretaria de Cultura (Secult-BA), estimule o investimento privado a partir do Fundo Setorial do Audiovisual e Leis de Incentivo ao setor, captando recursos na Agência Nacional do Cinema (Ancine), distribuindo filmes em salas de cinema, canais de TV e Streaming em parceria com iniciativa privada, atuando também na operação de salas públicas de cinemas, na atração de filmagens feitas por produtoras de fora da Bahia e na estruturação de novos negócios do audiovisual.
